Analysis: On paper tonight's Louisville/Connecticut Game looks like a High Scoring affair but expect Connecticut to pound the ball trying to keep the Louisville offense on the sidelines. This Game should be played in the 20's sending this one Under the total. TAKE CONNECTICUT/LOUISVILLE UNDER as Stan's FRIDAY NIGHT TOTAL BIG BET and make them a DOUBLE DIME PLAY.

7 Unit Play. #5 Take Colorado -120 over Chicago (8:35 pm Altitude) Game of the Month. The Avs have a veteran and will their first road win of the season tonight at the United Center. Chicago has not been able to score many goals at all this season currently with a western conference low of 11 goals and when you throw out the Detroit games, they have only scored four goals in four games. Colorado has had great success against Chicago scoring points in 12 of 15 meetings dating back to 2002 and this includes 11 victories. Colorado has won 6 of their last 8 visits to Chicago. Despite the 0-2 start on the road this season, the Avs are still 10-4 in their last 14 road games and picking up Ryan Smyth will allow their offense to stay fresh. Once the Avs lead after the first period, they have yet to lose a game. Once the Avs lead after the second period, they have yet to lose a game. Expect them to get them early and cruise to a victory allowing us a Game of the Month cash.

Northwestern/Eastern Michigan
Eastern Michigan is 0-4 SU, 1-3 ATS the last three years when stepping up against the Big East or the Big 10, losing by 24, 11, 32 and 55 points. Northwestern (4-3) has an eletric offense with 321 yards passing per game behind QB C.J. Bacher. At 4-3, they are in line for a winning season and a bowl and this is the last cupcake on the schedule. They should tear up this Eastern Michigan defense that is allowing over 200 yards rushing and passing per game.

Play: Total: 6.5/104 Over
1 Unit, Take Pittsburgh Over 6.5, There should be lot's of goals here tonight with both teams averaging 3.7 goals per game this season. Both of these teams are very good on the power play with the Hurricanes converting 33.3% on the road and the Penguins converting 33.3% of the time at home so far this season. The Penguins have struggled defensively allowing an average of 4 goals against this season and the O/U is 16-3 for the Hurricanes when playing with 3 or more days rest the last 3 seasons. Grab the Over 6.5 as my Free Play for Friday night in what should be a real barn burner. Have a great Friday! Vernon Croy

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on UNDER Northwestern/Eastern Michigan - AiS shows a 73% probability that fewer than 58 points will be scored in this game. Supporting this graded play is a system that has hit 74% over the past 10 seasons. Play under with all teams where the total is between 56.5 and 63 with a poor first half defense allowing 16 or more points per game and after allowing 31 points or more in 2 straight games. The team qualifying is Northwestern. What is most impressive about this system is that 52 of these plays (60%) have beat the total by 7 or more points. Rarely have I found any system that defeats the number by 7 or more points in 40% of the plays. So it is no surprise that this system has already gone 9-2 this season. Take the UNDER.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Buffalo Sabres (NHL)
Oct 19, 2007 7:35 PM EDT
Play: Total: 6 Over
The Columbus Blue Jackets take to the road tonight as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres. This will be the Blue Jackets third road game of the season where they have struggled thus far going 0-2 and giving up an average of 4.0 goals per game. Their last game on the road was a 5-1 loss to the Colorado Rockies.
The main problem with Columbus has been their offense where they have scored an average of 2.4 goals per game (1.5 on the road). Their power play has been anemic going 5 for 24 (7.9% effective). Tonight's goaltender, Fredrik Norrena, hasn't shown to be all that effective in the early going posting a 91.8% save percentage.
After losing their first two games of the season, the Buffalo Sabres have come storming back winning their last three in a row. Tonight's game will be their fourth in a row at home where they have loved playing thus far scoring an average of 5.5 goals per game. As a result the over has been a perfect 3-0.
The Sabres certainly possess a potent offense but their defense has been a bit of a disappointment thus far this season as they are allowing a rather high 3.2 goals per game. Their power play has been active at home scoring 6 times on 23 chances for a 14.8% effective rate. Tonight's goaltender, Ryan Miller, has been a bit of a sieve posting only an 88.5% save percentage while the over has gone 2-1 in his starts.
SUPPORTING ANGLES: BUFFALO is 12-4 OVER (+12.0 Units) after winning their previous game in overtime over the last 2 seasons. BUFFALO is 15-6 OVER (+15.0 Units) after a home game where both teams score 3 or more goals over the last 2 seasons.
Buffalo can score and could certainly put up the 6 goals on their own leaving Columbus to only need to score 1 for the over. I'm taking the over in this one.
