Dallas has won 5 of the last 6 meetings, with all 5 wins coming by more than 9 points. The lone loss came in Atlanta on a road trip in 2004 during Christmas weekend. This was also one night after beating the Knicks in NY by 29 points. No reason to play that game. Bounce back time for the Cavs. Its also a big game for them as this is the final home Game before going on a long TOUGH West Coast Road Trip. Too much turmoil, and way too much star power. I think the Cavs bounce back big time and make a statement at home before their trip.

Remember as we stated the other night...GST is missing two key starters from last years team. Their offense takes a hit without Jackson. The Clips are also missing their #1 Player Elton Brand due to injury. That eliminates 25 points per game. Even though GST allowed 117 points in Game 1, the Clippers are not the Jazz.

Comments: THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: OHIO -9^^^^ Ohio's offense has been torching up the score board and look to be in good form. temple has been performing well as an underdog but this is a whole different team when they hit the road as the Owls are 1-3 on the road this year, losing by 5,13, and 16 points. The public is squeezing every ounce of juice out of this lemon noting that Temple has won their last 3 conference games, but before you get Temple happy, understand they haven't won 3 straight Conference games for 40 years. They also haven't won 4 straight games since 1985. If you want to ignore the trends then lets get down to the meat of it. Temple will be without starting quarterback Adam DiMichele as he broke his leg in Temple's last game and will start sophomore quarterback Vaughn Charlton which maybe a heavy task to ask against this high powered Ohio team. The key to this game is running back Kalvin McRae who leads college football with 16 touchdowns and more than 1,000 rushing yards this season. Last Saturday, McRae ran for more than 200 yards with three touchdowns in a 38-27 win over Bowling Green. McRae also became the first Ohio running back to eclipse the 1,000-yard plateau in three consecutive seasons. He's Ohio's all time leading rusher and with Ohio's running game averaging 258.7 yards per game, we look for him to run all over Temple tonight.

Comments: THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: NBA: WASHINGTON +7^^^ Wizards were 3-0 vs Boston last year winning by 7,5 and 14 points. We know this is the new look Celtics and they will be very good but it reminds us of this years New York rangers who went out and got every offensive star they could find but have had troubles gelling with so many quality players. It's the same scenario here and with it being the opening week, we don't expect any major blowouts meaning we are finding value in that +7 line. We may not see a SU win by Washington, but to give 7 points away to a team that can easily go tote to toe with you just seems like too much. So we are going to stray from stats in this one and flow with a bettors mentality and attempt to be sharp here and grab the generous dog points and take the +7 with Washington. We do have favorable trends in our direction. Washington is 6-1 straight up against BOSTON over the last 3 seasons. Washington is now on a streak of 16-6 ATS away off a loss 9 note the last loss was in OT) and Boston is 13-27 ATS in home games. Now once again, we don't support putting too much stock into the trends as Boston is a completely new look team this season, but from a betting angle, they are facing a team who traditionally beats them ats and SU and that team is getting +& points in this match-up. It's too much to over look. Go With Washington plus the points.

Now we don't expect Milwaukee to shoot as bad as they did in their last game, but you can't escape the fact with all the talent on their team, they only shot 37.9% in their opener. Charlotte was a complete 180 degrees the other direction as The Hornets routed Sacramento 104-90 in their opener. Charlotte is 6-1 against the spread versus Milwaukee over the last 3 seasons and we know from following this young team that they like to step it up at home. Not the strongest play on the board, but we still think there is a quality choice here siding with Charlotte at home.

I like the young, athletic Hawks team catching points at home. Everyone saw the Mavs destroy Cleveland on national TV so there is some real nice value in this line. The Mavs will be the public play of the day, but the truth is that Dallas has struggle covering the spread on the road as they are only 3-7 against the spread in their last ten road games going back to last season. This is opening night for the Hawks, so their will be a lot of energy in the building and Atlanta closed the season last year going 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games as a home underdog. Take the points!

I think the Raptors are going to be a real threat in the Eastern Conference this season and it looks like the odds makers are giving them that respect in this match up. The Raptors have lost six straight in New Jersey, including three playoff games but are only a three point underdog here. The Raptors have been good on the road against teams with winning records and I think they break through here. Take the points!

We rode the Pacers to victory as a home dog on Tuesday, but a seven point favorite here? I like the Heat even without D-Wade in the lineup. This series has been dominated by the road team as the visitor is 7-1 against the spread in the last eight meetings. The Pacers are also only 1-5 against the spread in their last six games as a favorite and the underdog is 16-5-2 against the spread in the last 23 meetings. Davis and Haslem will keep them close.
