Doc's NHL Game of the Week

5 Unit Play. #54 Take Detroit (-1.5 PL) -110 over Chicago (7:35 pm NHL Center Ice) Game of the Week. The Red Wings should have the dominator between the pipes on Friday and thus you can expect a rout as Detroit has owned this series of late. Detroit has won eight of the last ten meetings and Chicago has had no success at Joe Louis Arena. The Blackhawks have also been defeated in four straight and 11 of their last 12 trips to the Motor City. Counter that with the Wings taking 16 of the last 20 meetings and expect a rout at the hands of the Wings, giving us a game of the week cash.

Best of Luck – Doc’s Sports

4.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 9.0 Colorado at Arizona (10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
1-Unit Play. Take #953 Colorado (-105) over Arizona (10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
Note: This is our Total of the Week. But wait on this game! I think there's a chance that the number falls to 8.5 before first pitch. If so, consider bumping up this play to a 5-Unit game.

Mark Wegner is behind the dish and he is 36-26 against the total over the past two seasons. In his last four outings he is 4-1 against the total, issuing an average of 8.0 walks and 11.8 runs per game. In fact, his games have seen an average of 11.9 runs per game over his last 10 games and he’s issuing nearly seven walks per game in his last 15 behind the plate. Both teams were getting good cuts in on Webb and Francis last night, and Jiminez and Davis aren’t exactly aces. Arizona is streaky, and they did not look good last night. We're going to stay with the hot hand (and bats) and look for a decent amount of scoring again tonight.

1-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 8.5 (+105) Cleveland at Boston (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
1-Unit Play. Take #955 Cleveland (+140) over Boston (7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12)
I'm looking for runs, runs, runs tonight. We do have two of the better offenses in the league going at it so I'm looking for a first game 'over'. Wait on that 'over' as well because I think there's a decent chance that it drops to 8.0. If that's the case, double the bet to a 2-Unit Play. Just like with the Colorado-Arizona series, we'll be a bit more aggressive after Game 1.

2-Unit Play. Series Play: Take Cleveland (+155) over Boston.
We have to fade the public here.
