Chris Jordan

Orlando at DALLAS -1'

Dallas may be the home team in this one, but since the Mavericks were in Chi-town last night for a date with the Bulls – not to mention a 98-91 loss – I like our chances with the Magic tonight.

After all, the Mavs are mired in a 1-5 ATS skid overall and have lost four straight to the books at home. Orlando, which is 5-3 on the year, is on ATS runs of 4-0 against teams with a losing record – the Mavs are 2-6 –and 11-4 on the road against teams with a losing home mark.

Orlando is also on a 4-0 spread run in Dallas and has covered six of the last eight meetings overall. Toss in the fact the underdog has bagged the cash seven of the last eight times these two have met and the road team has covered four in a row and it’s crystal clear why we’re taking the Magic tonight.

3♦ MAGIC

Gina

Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs

The understaffed Spurs continued to struggle without two of their key players, point guard Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. San Antonio is a nasty 1-8 ATS in its last 9 games and just 2-5 ATS in its last 7 against Houston in San Antonio. Go with the Rockets against the impaired Spurs.

Houston Rockets -5½

Mr A

Cincinnati @ Louisville

Louisville Cardinals have struggle in their last two games, but have played well versus the Cincinnati Bearcats. Louisville has won the last five meetings and nine of the last 10, going 8-2 ATS. Expect Louisville to step-up their performance and make this a close battle at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Louisville Cardinals +3½

New York Knicks -8
Boston Celtics -10
Detroit Pistons +9½

Johnny Guild

Denver Nuggets at Boston Celtics

Denver Nuggets have dropped ten of the last 11 versus Boston in Beantown, 29-6 all-time. The Celtics are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings against the Nuggets at TD Banknorth Garden. Take the surging defending NBA champions and fired up Paul Pierce to seize their seventh straight victory.

Boston Celtics -10

Cincinnati Bearcats -3.5

Philadelphia 76ers at Indiana Pacers
Play Indiana Pacers -1

It's Friday night and there are over 10 NBA games going on tonight, but there are two that you should play close attention too. The first one is the Sixers vs. the Pacers. The Pacers are 3-1 at home while the Sixers are (1-3) at home. Any true NBA fan knows that Conseco Field House is one of the hardest places for a road team to steal a win. The Pacers T.J. Ford is back looking like his old self; in a mid summer trade the Pacers dealt away Jermaine O'Neal to get their new starting point guard. T.J. is average 18 pts, 8 rebs, and 9 asst. a game. The Pacers are on a 3 game winning streak plus they will be getting back two of their injured stars, Troy Murphy and Danny Granger. The Pacers GM, Larry Bird has finally put together a team he could be proud of.

Atlanta Hawks at New Jersey Nets
Play Atlanta Hawks -2.5

The Hawks are the real deal this season. They only have one lost and it came from the defending champs Boston. Mike Bibby has is forming chemistry with his teammates after being acquired last season before the trade deadline. The Hawks have one the highest scoring backcourts with him and Joe Johnson. Over the last couple of season Joe has evolved into an all star, scoring over 24 points a game. But what surprises Hawk fans so much is the play of there young players. Al Horford and Marvin Williams are leading the team in rebounds. The Nets have not done a lot to improve this season; the team appears to be in the rebuilding stage. Hawks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference. The birds are flying high in Atlanta.
