Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets
Play Over 209

Warriors haven't played since Monday, so they should be well-rested, and that means they'll be ready to fly up and down the court here. Only the Knicks play at a faster pace in the NBA, and now that Goldie has swapped their only inside presence, Al Harrington, for another gunner in Jamal Crawford, that means more quick shots and even less defense than before. In their last 5 games, adjusted for one overtime game, the Warriors are giving up an ungodly 122 ppg on 49% FG. Houston will attempt to make this a halfcourt game to establish Ming, but that's fine, because Golden St. can't stop them at that end. There will be wide open looks for Houston's marksmen as well as plenty of FT's. Houston 114-103. Play Over the total.

3* on Indiana Pacers +11

Reasons why the Pacers cover the spread Friday:

1.) Cleveland has been torching teams all season at home, but the Pacers have proven they can compete with the best teams in the league. Indiana has already beaten the L.A. Lakers and the Boston Celtics, a feat that likely no other team will accomplish this season. Indiana will step up to the plate tonight in this huge game against another Eastern Conference Powerhouse in Cleveland.

2.) The Pacers are just 2-7 in road games, but they have gone 5-4 ATS. That means they are getting beaten, but Indiana has been very competitive in the process. With a double-digit spread tonight, the Pacers should be able to cover with ease and keep this game close. After the Cavs have gone 14-1 SU in their last 15 games overall, now is the time to fade this team.

3.) System Play. We’ll Play On - Road underdogs of 10 or more points (INDIANA) - revenging a road loss vs opponent, with a losing record. This is an 83-36 ATS System hitting 69.7% over the last 5 seasons. Indiana lost 107-111 on the road at Cleveland earlier this season, and this team will put up another valiant effort tonight looking to pull off the upset to revenge that earlier setback. Bet Indiana on the road.

1* on Utah Jazz -5

Utah gets back on track tonight after losing to the Miami Heat as they take on the struggling Toronto Raptors at home. The Jazz were the best home team in the league last season, and after a home loss to the Heat, this team will not be losing back-to-back-to-back home contests. Jay Triano will make his NBA head-coaching debut in one of the toughest arenas in the NBA. The Raptors fired Sam Mitchell after suffering a humiliating 132-93 defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Mitchell, the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2006-07 season, was in his fifth season at the helm. The Jazz - who were a league-best 37-4 on their home floor last season - have uncharacteristically dropped two straight at home. Injuries have hurt the Jazz, but they still have plenty of ammo to make up for it. Utah is riding a six-game winning streak over the Raptors, including a 96-79 victory in their last meeting. Toronto is 4-13 ATS (-10.3 Units) versus good passing teams, averaging >=23 assists/game over the last 2 seasons. Utah is 36-19 ATS (+15.1 Units) as a home favorite over the last 2 seasons. Even better, the Jazz are 12-1 ATS (+10.9 Units) in home games after a non-conference game over the last 2 seasons. This team is tough as nails at home, and this is a reasonably small spread for the Jazz to cover following back-to-back home losses. Take Utah and lay the points.

1 Unit on L.A. Clippers -1

The L.A. Clippers are finally healthy and its starting to show on the court. The Clippers have played 4 straight games decided by 7 points or less, including 3 of the 4 decided by 2 points or less. A 105-106 loss to Denver, a 100-98 loss to the Mavericks, a 97-96 win against the Heat and a 96-103 loss to the Rockets show that this team is playing much more competitive basketball right now. The Clippers finally face a team that they should dominate in the Grizzlies tonight after a brutal 5-game stretch coming in. L.A. is favored for a reason Friday. The Grizzlies are 0-7 SU and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Memphis has not even been competitive, and they won’t be able to keep this game close either. The Grizzlies have lost by 8 points or more in each of their last 7 games. That one 8-point loss came at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a team that the Clippers beat 108-88 on the road just a few weeks back. Memphis is 12-28 ATS after 2 straight games with 19 or less assists over the last 2 seasons. The Grizzlies are not playing team basketball at all this season, and they are easily playing the worst basketball of any team in the league over the last few weeks. Cash in with the Clippers as the favorite.
