Manning and Sorgi are out leaving Bomar to play the whole game. Big Ben gets some action in this one and I can see a let down coming after the Jets. Coughlin should be very conservative with his starters this week. Steelers!

just wanted to add that Coughlin is only 4-8 last 3 years in pre-season while Tomlin is 9-3 in the pre-season.

Did you see this Vegas?

Tomlin: Roethlisberger will play against Giants

LATROBE, Pa. (AP) -Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will play in Saturday's exhibition game against the New York Giants, but isn't saying whether he will start the game.

Just as he did before last week's game against the Detroit Lions in which Roethlisberger didn't play, Tomlin is declining to announce a starter in advance.

Roethlisberger has worked with the starting offense most of this week at training camp, an indication he will open the game. Byron Leftwich started against the Lions and wound up playing nearly twice as long as expected.

Leftwich is expected start while Roethlisberger is suspended for up to six games in the regular season.

sorry it has taken me so long to reply back, but yes, I saw it. Ben probably thinks he has something to prove, which makes the Steelers chances about 80% of winning this game. I actually was hoping he would just play the 4th quarter...lol. The line has gone to 6 and that is a huge move in preseason. The Giants QB Bomar is young, inexperienced, and he may have a hard time establishing timing with different players coming in and out of the line-up.

The Steelers won by 16 last week, but that was at home and against Detroit. I heard the Steelers had a hard time against Detroit's starters which really doesn't matter since is a whole 2nd half without them. My feeling is Coughlin may be very conservative with his starters after last week, and the team might be a little flat after beating the Jets. Still 6 points in pre-season is big with anyone on the road.

13 out of 20 pre-season winners have covered a 6 point margin. 5 of those teams were on the road. Oakland won 17-9 against a Dallas team with 3 days rest. The Vikings routed the Rams 28-7, The 49ers beat the (always lose in preseason) Colts 37-17, The Giants won a trash talking, who's new stadium is it game against the Jets 31-16, and the only game that really didn't have much of anything to go on was the Patriots beating the Falcons 28-10.

At this point, I think the Steelers win the game, but who says they will win by more than 6 points? Oddsmakers really are making the Giants very enticing.
