As I read you posts, I laughed so hard that my drink came out my nose and ruined my brand new white polo. At first, I was upset. Then I said to myself "self, why don't you just buy a new one with the money Wilsons thread has provided you?" So I did. While at Macy's, in the mens department, my Tampa guy called me and gave me the low down on tonights game.
Tampa is 4-2 against Tex.
3-0 against C. Lee in regular season and one loss in the playoffs. 3-1 over all this year against the man, and with their loss only 6 days ago, I say the Rays have done their homework in such short time with a winning record vs. him.
Some may say, traditionally, home field advantage in baseball means nothing. But in this situation I disagree. They took the tarps off all extra seats and Trop. Field, and it will be packed with 36-38k heads. Oh, yea. And each will recieve a complementary cow bell. Have you ever tried to think, in a dome, with 38k heads shaking metal cowbells?
To the naked eye, C. Lee is the obvious choice here. He has 0 playoff losses, and he's an UNDERDOG?!
But will Tampa really loose 3 games at home? No they won't. If they do, it would be the first time EVER the road team wins all 5 games in the LDS.
The three best teams left are the Phillies, mighty Yanks, and the Rays. It's going to be a close one boys, but I'm laying the wood here with the:

The Rays bats, if they don't get to Lee early, will get to to the bullpen. The Rays, by far, also have the best pen in the AL and Tex has no chance of scoring in the 7th, 8th or 9th if Lee is pulled.

walter, nice write up, you actually got me with the cow bells, i turned the game on and was actually listening for the cow bells when i realized it. a friend of mine text me the under in the game last night, i think in retrospect that would have been the best play last night. i got lucky and cashed all my texas tickets, the next series is gonna be tough but i think i will be looking into texas again vs the yanks.
