Ok, listen up because I am only going to say this once.

I am tired of everyone who comes in here every Saturday and Sunday, doesn't contribute shit and sits here and pounds refresh over and over and over and over until my site crashes. To say I am pissed is the understatement of the year, I am fucking furious.

I don't foot the bill for this site and all the people who work here for a couple hundred idiots who never have and never will add anything to it to take the entire thing down at my busiest times week after week. We have been over this before but apparently some of you just don't get it.

Starting next Saturday the free service plays will have dedicated posting times to try and force people to have some self control. Free service plays will only be updated at the times we say in the schedule we will put out. Hopefully by giving everyone a road map of when they can expect new information this will manage the traffic better and keep me from having to take more drastic action.

If a posting schedule for Saturday and Sunday updates does not work then we will move to phase 2. What is phase 2? Phase 2 is where I lock the forum down and charge a monthly membership fee for access. Trust me, I don't want to go to phase 2 and I know all of you REALLY don't want me to go to phase 2.

But make no mistake, if you guys cannot get with the program and continue to crash my site for the thousands of people who don't give a shit about these service plays and want to view our odds or Hilton info or read our articles, you can absolutely bet I will lock it up and ask to see your credit card before letting you back in.

I don't want to have to penalize everyone because of a few hundred people but, I absolutely will if you guys can't start policing yourselves. There is no way in hell I am gonna let free service plays cripple my business.

Consider this your first and last warning. If my site crashes for even a second next Saturday or Sunday, expect to get your wallet out in two weeks.

Does it sound like I am fucking kidding? Yes, it's that serious of a problem. If it wasn't I wouldn't be wasting my time in here posting about it.

I guess you have to try something. However, it seems to me that if you post a time that plays will be up then everyone will literally be there at the same time. It may cause even more of a traffic jam.

The hardware we have is capable of handling any amount of legitimate traffic we could ever receive as the site sits today. Without any upgrades, Super Bowl Sunday should be the only day the site even sputters. It's the artificial queries (constant refreshing) that is causing the problems.

Several hundred people constantly hitting refresh over and over and over again without giving the site a chance to fully load can simulate a load of many thousands of people.

The site is fully capable of handling 50,000 people or more at 11:30 but it's not capable of keeping up with 500 people hitting refresh over and over and over from 11:00 to 11:30.

I remember your pleas in the past...can't believe people are so selfish and ignorant.
Certainly accesssing the webpage every say 15-20 minutes would clear up all issues.

Good Luck and readers pls control your compulsions as there are others here!

Rgds

Let's show some restraint people so that everyone benefits. That's certainly not too much to ask.
