Yall might remember from my posting in 2017, Im a native Houstonian, avid Astros / Rockets fan. Grew up with the Oilers so I can take or leave the Texans, theyre like my step kid. So my Astros cheated in 2017, as everyone loves to cry about. What was never made public was the other ball clubs that were cheating too, Yankees, BoSox and others. They chose to make an example out of the Astros rather than to throw the "blue blood" old time baseball organizations under the bus.
Signs have been stolen since signs started being used. The astros got a bit carried away with it. All this cheating took place at home, not on the road. What everyone fails to mention is that the Astros had the best road record in the league in 2017, and one game 7 of the WS on the road. People act as though cheating was the only reason they won. fuck off. They had an excellent team that year.
Also, last year, no cheating. Made it to Game 7 of the WS. One win away from winning it all again. No cheating, that was in 2017.
Now enter this year. They fucked around and did just enough to get in the playoffs, which was the goal all along. Seeding doesnt matter. Get to the playoffs, flip the switch.
This lineup is for real and is getting hot at the right time. Pitching is somewhat questionable, but is coming together. Make no mistake they are playing with a purpose and a chip on their shoulders. They have something to prove. If Altuve and Bregman get hot, look out.
