ST. LOUIS, MO (ATS Consultants) – Will tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup be a defensive struggle when the Rams host the 49ers at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rams are currently 3-point home underdogs versus the 49ers tonight while the over/under total is currently sitting at 44 points. The odds for this game haven’t moved despite 75% of the betting public favoring San Francisco minus the points. While there’s usually value in home underdogs, it’s a bit surprising that the number has stayed at 3, although it is a divisional matchup so oddsmakers clearly think the game will be tight throughout.
The 49ers enter play with a 3-2 straight up record and are also 3-2 against the spread, while the Rams are 1-3 on the year and have failed to cover in three of their first four games. While the under is 4-1 in all San Francisco games this season, St. Louis’ over/under record is currently sitting at 2-2.
The biggest injury question surrounding the Niners tonight is whether or not Anthony Davis and/or Vernon Davis will play. Anthony Davis is unlikely to play with ankle and knee issues but Vernon Davis might give it a go depending on how his back feels. For the Rams, Zac Stacy (calf) and Kenny Britt (knee) are both listed as probable.

On the other side, the under is 4-0 in the Rams’ last four divisional games, 7-2 in their last nine games overall dating back to last year, and 5-2 in their last seven games in Week 6.
