Did oddsmakers set the total for tonight’s Eagles-Falcons 7:10PM ET kickoff too high?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Eagles are 3-point road favorites versus the Falcons after opening as a 1-point fave. As for the total, it opened at 53 and jumped to 54.5.
The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Atlanta and 9-3 in the Falcons’ last 12 games overall. The under is also 7-2 in Atlanta’s last nine games versus NFC opponents and 6-2 in its last eight games on fieldturf.
The Falcons’ defense was horrific a year ago but their pass-rush should improve significantly thanks to offseason additions like first-rounder Vic Beasley, free-agent Adrian Clayborn and O’Brien Schofield. Even though Philadelphia’s offense can score in a split-second, look for this game to fall just under the posted total.
