Carlo Campanella

These AFC South Division rivals have watched 5 of their last 6 meetings fly Over the posted Total, including their last meeting in which Jacksonville won at home, 44-17, back on December 10 of last year. With the Colts (5-0) heading to Jacksonville (4-1) with first place in the Division on the line, well look for a low scoring defensive battle this meeting, especially knowing that Jacksonville has held ALL 5 of their foes to an incredible 17 points or less! Playing Under as we also find the Colts going Under in 5 of their last 6 games facing a team off back-to-back wins!

7* Play On UNDER (Colts/Jax)

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SELECTION

2-Unit Play. Take #434 Jacksonville (+3.5) over Indianapolis (8:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21)
Note: If this number has not yet hit 3.5 at your book just wait – it will. In fact, I will be stunned if it isn’t at 4.0 or 4.5 by kickoff.

The Jaguars have had a lot of success against the Colts over the past five years and are 4-1 ATS against them in their last five meetings in Jacksonville. Yes, it concerns me that the Colts are coming out of a bye. But the Jags have been strong on MNF and this game is like their Super Bowl. i said at the start of the season that Jacksonville would win the division. If that's the case, they have to win this game.

Michael Cannon Goes 3-1 on Sunday, Up 23.5 Dimes
Monday Play:

20 Dime –

COLTS (If for some reason this line moves up to -3 ½, buy the ½ point)
Lay the points with the Colts on the road tonight against the Jaguars.
I know what you’re thinking, the Jags destroyed the Colts last year in Week 14, 44-17 while putting up an incredible 375 rushing yards.
But that was when Indy didn’t have Bob Sanders on defense and they also had a three-game lead in the division with four left to play.
I can give them a mulligan for that one, considering it caused them to refocus their efforts on run defense and they eventually went on to win the Super Bowl.
This line is like a gift for Peyton Manning, who had two weeks to prepare for this game after the bye week last Sunday.
Oh, Jacksonville is still going to try and hammer the ball down the Colts’ throats, but Indy will be ready to atone for last year’s embarrassing loss and will have the Jags properly schemed.
You give me Manning with two weeks to prepare and only ask me to lay a field goal and I don’t care where the venue is or what the opponent did to them the last time, I’m taking them.
Lay the points with Indy as they grab the road win and cover.

Vegas report
t appears the oddsmakers have set a good line on the Monday night matchup of Indianapolis at Jacksonville. The Colts are three-point road favorites.

The Colts have won an NFL-high 10 consecutive games. They are averaging 32.8 points and expect to have back injured Marvin Harrison and Joseph Addai. Jacksonville has won four in a row.

The Jaguars steamrolled the Colts, 44-17, at home last season. The Jaguars rushed for 375 yards, the second highest single-game rushing total in NFL history.

“I can’t argue with three,” Seba said about the pointspread. “Especially with the way Jacksonville has been playing.”

Gamblers world Tip Of the Day

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tip of the Day - October 22, 2007

TIP OF THE DAY
Sport: NFL Football

Game: 8:30PM, Colts small faves vs. surging Jags in Monday Nighter

Prediction: Indianapolis Colts

Current Line: -3

Over/Under: 45.5

Reason: Jacksonville is on a roll but Indianapolis has proven to be a
roll-wrecker in recent years. The Jags are 4-1 ATS past five games here
against Manning's gang, while the OVER has prevailed in five of the past
six meetings here. It looks like a great Monday Nighter after last
week's stinker.

Oddsmakers currently have the Colts listed as 3-point favorites versus
the Jaguars, while the game's total is sitting at 45½.

The Colts defeated Tampa Bay 33-14 as a 9-point favorite in Week 5. The
combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (45).

Kenton Keith rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries for
Indianapolis, while Peyton Manning completed 29-of-37 passes for 253
yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

The Jaguars defeated Houston 37-17 as a 6.5-point favorite in Week 6.
The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (37).

Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 12
carries, while David Garrard completed 22-of-34 passes for 221 yards
with two touchdowns.

Current streak:
Indianapolis has won 5 straight games.
Jacksonville has won 4 straight games.

Team records:
Indianapolis: 5-0 SU, 3-2 ATS
Jacksonville: 4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS

Indianapolis most recently:
When playing in October are 9-1
When playing on grass are 7-3
After outgaining opponent are 8-2
When playing within the division are 7-3

Jacksonville most recently:
When playing in October are 6-4
When playing on grass are 6-4
After outgaining opponent are 6-4
When playing within the division are 5-5

A few trends to consider:
Indianapolis is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Indianapolis's last 6 games when playing on the road against Jacksonville
Indianapolis is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games on the road
Indianapolis is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Jacksonville's last 6 games when playing at home against Indianapolis
Jacksonville is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
Jacksonville is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Indianapolis
Jacksonville is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home against Indianapolis

Next up:
Indianapolis at Carolina, Sunday, October 28
Jacksonville at Tampa Bay, Sunday, October 28

Vegas Experts Tip Of The Day

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's the Colts and Jaguars on Monday night football. Will it be a defensive struggle or will the two clubs light up the scoreboard and send the contest over the total?

Expect each team to score in the 20's. Even a 24-21 Colts win sends this one over the total at some outlets. Colts are averaging 32.8 pts/game, Jaguars 25.7 over their last three as David Garrard has settled into the starting QB spot. Five-of-six between the teams at this site have gone over. Indianapolis is 14-3 over its last 17 contests when both clubs scored 20-plus. Undefeated road teams off a home win of 10-plus points and with a total of 42.5-49 are 27-7 Over since 1983.
