. My free pick of the day is the game between (1) TAM Lightning and (2) NY Rangers. Take "(1) TAM Lightning". The Rangers scoring drought continued on Saturday as the club could manage just one goal at home in a loss to the Maple Leafs, 4-1. That makes just three goals in the last four games that the Rangers have been able to garner. So far on the season their scoring average is just 1.60 goals per game. It doesn't take much of a stretch to realize this poor offense has resulted in a 2-8 record on the season. IF there is one thing Tampa Bay has done well this year, it's score goals. The Lightning have scored at least three goals in each of their last four games and average 3.56 goals per game on the season. What we like in this game is that Tampa is a nice +140 dog and against a team that has all kinds of trouble scoring that translates into good value. Take the Lightning here on Monday night.

Green Bay Packers @ Denver Broncos o41.5 (-110)
Mon Oct 29 '07 8:05p
Last we saw the Green Bay Packers, the Washington Redskins were busy handing them over their 5th win of the season in Lambeau back on October the 14th. The Packers won simply because of a couple bonehead mistakes the Redskins made, and they went into their “Bye” week the #1 team in the NFC North. Their 5-1 mark will be put to the test under the bright lights of Monday night when the (3-3) Denver Broncos welcome them in for the Week 8 finale. A challenge Brett Favre and company will be more than happy to take on.

The Broncos picked up a season saving win last Sunday night at home vs. Pittsburgh. Denver was losers of three in a row heading into their “Bye” in Week 6, and had just been ripped apart at home by San Diego. The extra time off allowed them to shore up some of their deficiencies in stopping the run, and regain some of the moxie they lost throughout the first five weeks of the season. That being said, Denver is still a very flawed football team, and their problems will once again be brought to the forefront this evening.

The Packers have a solid offense this year. QB Brett Favre has thrived in these types of settings throughout his career, and I look for the Packers offense to get healthy in this spot. Denver still has a woeful defense that we all got a chance to see last week. The only reason they won last weeks game was due to three Pitt turnovers. With their ground game achieving better success than it has all season simply due to Denver’s woeful rush “D” (176 YPG), the passing lanes will be wide open once the Packers utilize play-action. Look for a number of big plays downfield to WR’s Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, and Koren Robinson whose back from his 1-year suspension.

Denver also has the tools offensively to take advantage of a Packers defense that I’m not quite sold on. Denver HC Shanahan will continue to pound the rock with whichever healthy back he’s got, and that will allow QB Cutler to find his WR’s downfield. In the Packers earlier match-up with the Bears, Chicago rushed the ball 33 times for only 82 yards, but the fact that they kept looking to the run even though it failed allowed the Bears passing game to take over late and win it. There’s no doubt the Denver coaching staff will watch a lot of film on that game since the Bears and Broncos are very similar teams.

It will be very hard for both of these offenses to get stopped tonight. Favre and Cutler should both have solid outings, and the victor of this game won’t be decided until late in the 4th quarter. That being said, look for there to be a number of big plays offensively, and for each defense to come up with some TO’s to set their offense up for some cheap scores. This number looks to be a couple points short of where it should be, so hit the ‘Over’ up and make the books pay for putting out a low number

The Sharks are off to a surprising 5-5-0-1 record, not what most would have expected for this talented team. They have struggled to score goals in their last 2 games, 1 goal in each game, and the result has been 2 losses. This will be their 3rd game in 4 night's so expect a tired team. The Stars have won 3 of their last 4 games. On home ice Dallas is 3-0-1. The Stars have won 5 of the last 7 meetings overall between the clubs. San Jose is 8-19-3 in their last 27 trips to Dallas. Gold Sheet

*OVER THE TOTAL DENVER 30 - Green Bay 23--Even though Denver was the beneficiary of some handy early turnovers last week vs. Pittsburgh, it was obvious Jay Cutler had benefited from some extra "class work" during the Broncos' bye week, as he completed 22 of 27 with 3 TDP vs. the Steelers often tough-to-read defense. And credit WRs Marshall & Stokley and TE Scheffler for being reliable targets. Kudos to G.B. for its surprising 5-1 start. But is it not true Packers would be 3-3 if Philly could field punts and Santana Moss could hold onto the ball? Poor ground game hurts G.B. in this one, with Denver going "over" for eleventh time in last 12 games! CABLE TV--ESPN

Green Bay is surprisingly on top of the NFC North and owns a 4-1-1 ATS record while coming off a 17-14 home victory against Washington last weekend. Some are saying that the Pack is back as the offense is averaging 23.7 points per game, while their defense has held foes to a stingy 14.5 points per game. Denver snapped a three game losing skid by defeating the Steelers on Sunday Night Football, 31-28, last week. The Broncos are struggling on both sides of the ball, as theyre allowing 10 more points per game than theyre scoring, allowing 27.3 points per game and putting up just 17.

Must back Green Bay knowing that Denver is just 5-15 ATS against non-division opponents on Monday Night Football and QB Jay Cutler is a far cry from John Elway, owning a horrible 1-6 ATS record at home during his NFL career.

(5) SJO Sharks
(6) DAL Stars

Take "(6) DAL Stars"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Off blowout Conference Game of the Year winners the last two weeks on Troy State and Wisconsin, Dave has his MWC Game of the Year this week, and once again, there's no need to wait till game day. It's yours right now for just $50 at Dave's Pure Gold Club!... "The San Jose Sharks are in a bit of a funk right now. They were destroyed in a remarkably lopsided loss at Detroit Friday and followed that up with another defeat at Columbus Saturday. The Sharks don't seem to have any flow offensively and they're taking some really dumb penalties. Dallas deserves to be the favorite tonight and I'll back the Stars to skate away with the win."

25 DIME

DENVER BRONCOS- only lay 3. if your man has 3 1/2 u buy the half and only lay 3. never and I men never get beat by the hook.

free pick - Packers/Denver OVER (For analysis see daily video)

Note:

Well, got the job done on Sunday with a sweat job on the Steelers as the 30 dime winner #2 in a row off of Oregon Saturday.
Eagles was a nice call and the Over in Browns/Rams came in.
Giants should of got there but Eli Manning 2 huge turnovers in Miami territory and the missed field goal didn't help.
As for the Redskins, just a horrible call. End of story.
As I tell you all the time, I will make great calls, some not so great calls and some horrible calls. Hey, nobody is perfect.
I will take 3-2 Sunday's for the rest of the year good for +29 dimes. It completed an amazing weekend in which I put up +100 dimes and +120 for the week.
I told you right here inside last Monday I wanted a 100 dime week and I went out and got it. Well, I want another 100 dime week this week.
I have seen the early lines for the weekend and just like last week, I like what I'm seeing Wait, let me correct myself, I love what I am seeing.
So here we go. Another 25 dime Monday night winner #5 in a row. It will jump start the week and get us going on our way to the 100 dime week for a 2nd week in a row.
Hope you are on board for it. I really am.

Now here is why Denver will cover against Green Bay tonight.

DENVER

Ok, let me ask everyone reading this right now a question. Are you ready? Ok, here it comes.
Who is a better team right now in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Green Bay Packers?
If you answered Green Bay, then you should stop gambling right now because no way are the Packers better than the Steelers.
Now, if the Broncos can rally to beat the Steelers to basically save their season, they can step up and beat a Green Bay team that is not as good.
They catch the Packers off a bye week, just like they did the Steelers and from a match up standpoint, this is a bad spot for Green Bay.
They have no running game at all. So going on the road and trying to win a game versus an AFC team with no running game is not going to happen folks. Not in my opinion.
I was so impressed with that Denver win last Sunday night. Yes, two turnovers by the Steelers led to 14 points but that is what an opportunistic defense does at home.
The clear cut right side to this game is the Broncos at this kind of value as a home favorite.
When watching this game tonight, watch the Broncos take away the run and force Favre to beat Bly on one side and Bailey on the other.
Steelers couldn't do it and I just don't see the Packers doing it tonght as well.
I am on the Broncos to step up and get another huge home win by double digits.

All Denver.

Wayne Allyn Root Millionaire's Play

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take the Denver Broncos (8:30 P.M. ET)
The Green Bay Packers have been one of the most surprising teams in the NFL. But according to WAR, they've climbed to the top of their division in spite of having a one-dimensional offense. Following their bye week, Brett Favre and the NFC North-leading Packers look to continue their early season success and win for the first time in Denver when they visit the Broncos on Monday night. The Packers have managed to win despite having a rushing offense that is last in the league in yards per game (65.7), 30th in yards per attempt (3.3) and tied with Detroit for last in attempts per game (20.2). And that usually spells doom when playing on the road. The Broncos (3-3) are coming off a 31-28 home victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday night in which WAR had Denver to win as they were embarrassed the week prior. Second-year quarterback Jay Cutler had one of the best games of his brief career. Although he threw two interceptions, he completed a career-high 75.9 percent of his passes (22-of-29) for 248 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. He also directed a seven-play, 44-yard drive to set up the winning score. The Broncos have won two straight Monday night games at Invesco Field, and 10 of their last 13 Monday home games. Take the Denver Broncos.
