New Mexico State (+18) at DUKE

Take the big number with New Mexico State tonight when they travel to take on Duke.
The Aggies made the NCAA tournament last year after finishing 25-9 and they return a deep roster with versatile, athletic players who play a relentless attack style on offense and defense.
They have a 7-footer in the post in Martin Iti who can match up with the big frontcourt of Duke.
The Blue Devils are a young team and not particularly strong inside, so the attacking style of New Mexico State could cause some foul problems for the Duke forwards.
With a veteran team returning, I expect New Mexico State to stay within this generous impost.

Take the points with New Mexico State.

3♦ NEW MEXICO STATE

Take "(725) Pacific"

Third game in three days for both Pacific and Pepperdine as the World Vision Invitational wraps up. Conditioning is therefore a key, and I think this favors the Tigers. Pepperdine has a heavy dose of inexperience and Pacific coach Thomason should have a substantial edge over Waves counterpart Walberg in this situation. Pacific looked really solid in the win over Western Michigan and I'm of the belief it's going to be long grind for the Waves this year, so Pacific minus the points will be the choice here.

Ben Burns Comp

The Cleveland Cavaliers won at Los Angeles yesterday, beating the Clippers 103-95. That's noteworthy as we find that seven of eight games have finished above the number when the Cavs were coming off a game the previous day. Looking back a bit further and we find the Over at a profitable 12-4 the last 16 times the Cavs played the second of back-to-back games. Over the last two years the Over is also a profitable 53-37 when the Nuggets were listed as a favorite. That includes a 209-point contest (110-99 Denver) the last time the Cavs traveled here. Consider a play on the Over.
Free Pick: Cavaliers-Nuggets Over 205½ (-110)

Karl Garrett

Tonight in the Association, the G-Man is taking the points with the Cavaliers. Cleveland did come through with the road win last night at the Clippers, and while this is a tough situational spot - playing in the thin air on back-to-back nights - I believe this line is just a little too high.
Denver needed an 18-point comeback on Saturday to split their recent 4-game road swing, and the Nuggets could get caught in a little bit of a lull tonight knowing Cleveland just played and is wrapping up a 6-game road swing.
The Cavs have won their last pair of games, and they have covered in 3 of their last 4, including their last pair when catching points.
Cleveland is looking for a measure of revenge as well, as Denver did sweep last year's season series both straight up and against the spread.
Take the points in this one, as this one stays closer than expected.

2♦ CLEVELAND

Sports Gambling Hotline

Tonight we will grab the double-digits and look for the Kings to stay inside of the generous impost at Utah.
The Jazz have won 3 in a row, and 5 of their 7 games overall this young season, but Utah has not been able to get things going in the favored role, as Jerry Sloan's team is 2-4 when laying points this season.
Sacramento has won 2 of their last 3 games, and they have covered in all 3 of those contests. The Kings are in a rebuilding mode, but we think tonight's spot is just a little too roomy to lay.
The Kings have won and covered the last pair of series meetings, and they have won and covered 4 of the last 5 series meetings overall.
We don't expect Sacto to come through with the outright, but we do see them staying inside the number.
Play on the Kings.

Ny Islanders at Philadelphia (7:05pm)

Philadelphia is 85-55 UNDER after scoring 5 or more goals in their last game. The Flyers are 11-2-1 UNDER when playing with one day of rest. The Islanders are 17-7 UNDER after allowing 2 or less goals in two straight games and they are 19-3 UNDER away off a two game unbeaten streak. These teams have gone 12-4 UNDER their last 16 meetings.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
Monday, November 12th, 8:30 PM ET

Seahawks gave up a 21-6 lead at Cleveland and lost 33-30 so they'll be into defense and ball control in this one. That should work vs. the Niners who are averaging a league low 224 yards/game. That should be good for about 14 points and in truth the Niners hit their high water mark of 20 points in their first game of the season and haven't scored more than 17 since. Supporting angle says to Play Under in November games with a Home teams coming off a road contest where both teams scored 24 or more points, in November games. That angle has hit 84.6% (22-of-26) the last 5 seasons.

This is an opening-round Preseason NIT game, and it?s being played on the Orange?s home court in the Carrier Dome. Of course, that?s hardly a shock, seeing as Syracuse rarely ventures out of the state of New York in the first month or so of the season. That?s why Jim Boeheim?s squad usually has a sterling record by the time Big East Conference play begins in January. Just look at last year, when Syracuse opened the season with seven straight wins over the likes of St. Francis, Penn, UTEP, Northeastern, Charlotte, Canisius and Holy Cross ? and all but the game against the Cross were double-digit triumphs.
Although Syracuse doesn?t begin the season ranked in the Top 25, it is on the fringe, ranked 29th nationally, so you know the talent is there. And while season-openers are often crapshoots in college hoops, I can?t see Siena, which tipped off its season with Friday?s 100-88 loss to James Madison as a 2?-point road chalk, competing in a hostile venue like the Carrier Dome. So back Syracuse minus the points here.

Ill take another win today as the Kings play at the Jazz.
Even though the Jazz are 5-2 SU this season they?re only 3-4 ATS and have gone a pretty horrid 1-3 ATS their L4 games.
The Kings on the other hand started the season 0-3 SU and ATS, but have gone 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS their L3 games.
Sacramento has taken advantage of some pretty nice lines lately and has delivered with three straight wins.
With a nice double-digit line tonight, look for Sacramento to get another W.
Go with the Kings.

San Francisco 49'ers (+) @ Seattle @ 8:30 ET

Wind and rain is the story in the Pacific Northwest today. That said, the ugly weather conditions should favor the underdog. It would have been difficult for a struggling Seahawks team to beat the 49'ers by any kind of margin anyway. But now with the weather, covering a double digit point spread seems even less likely for Seattle. The 49'ers are having problems of their own but in a game that we are staying away from in terms of a star rated play, the best value appears to be with the ugly dog in an ugly match-up!

EXPERT: David Malinski
REASON FOR PICK: 3* DENVER over CLEVELAND

We can keep it simple in this one – scheduling situations just do not come any worse than what the Cavaliers have in front of them tonight, when playing six games in nine nights on the road, and in a back-to-back situation, the last thing you want to deal with is the altitude and tempo provided in Denver. It is further aggravated by losing an hour after playing in Los Angeles last night, and with Donyell Marshall and Sasha Pavlovic sidelined to make depth an issue. The Nuggets bring a lot of energy and swagger to the table off of comfortable road wins at Indiana and Washington and can break this one wide open, with Mike Brown not likely to chase hard from behind.

THE SPORTS ADVISORS

NFL

San Francisco (2-6 SU and ATS) at Seattle (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS)
The wide-open and mediocre NFC West takes center stage from the Pacific Northwest tonight when the slumping 49ers visit the Seahawks at Qwest Field.
Despite losing three of their last four and sitting at .500 for the season, the Seahawks still lead the division by a half game over Arizona and two games over the Niners. Seattle blew a 12-point lead last week in Cleveland, falling 33-30 as a one-point underdog. The straight-up winner is 7-1 ATS in Seattle?s games this year.
The Niners are on a six-game slide (1-5 ATS) after opening the season with two straight wins. Tonight marks their third road game in the last four weeks, including last Sunday?s 20-16 loss at Atlanta as a 3?-point underdog.
The last time the Seahawks were in front of the home fans, they blew out the Rams 33-6 on Oct. 21 as nine-point favorites. Seattle averages 23.5 points and 349.2 yards per game at home, while allowing just 15.3 points and limiting teams to just 87 yards on the ground.
San Francisco has dropped three consecutive road games SU and ATS since a 17-16 win at St. Louis in Week 2.
The 49ers put up just 13 points and 224.2 total yards per game. The big problem has been in the passing game, as QBs Alex Smith and Trent Dilfer have combined for more INTs (5) than TDs (9) this season. As a team, the 49ers average just 132.8 passing yards a game.
Seattle scored an easy 23-3 win in San Francisco on Sept. 30, getting the cash as a one-point chalk. The Seahawks are 7-2 SU in the last nine meetings, but just 5-4 ATS. The Niners won last year?s clash in Seattle 24-14 as 10-point underdogs.
Seattle is 11-5 SU and 11-4-1 ATS at home on Monday nights. Meanwhile, San Francisco is 14-4 ATS in its last 18 appearances on Monday night. However, both teams have struggled in Week 10 of the season with identical 2-6 ATS marks the last eight years.
The under has been the play in the last three matchups between these two and six of the last nine. The under is also 7-1 in the Niners? last eight against division opponents and 6-2 in the Seahawks? last eight as a favorite.
ATS ADVANTAGE: UNDER

NBA
Cleveland (4-3 SU, 3-4 ATS) at Denver (4-3 SU, 3-4 ATS)
The Cavaliers end their six-game Western Conference road swing in the Mile High City tonight as they take on a Nuggets? team opening a four-game homestand.
Cleveland is 3-2 SU and ATS on the road trip after beating the Clippers 103-95 in a pick?em contest in Los Angeles Sunday. Monday?s game will be the sixth game in the last nine days for the Cavaliers.
Denver wrapped up a four-game East Coast road trip Saturday with a 113-106 win over the Pacers as a 1 ?-point favorite. After dropping the first two games on the trip in New York and Boston, the Nuggets rallied for SU and ATS wins in Washington (118-92 as 2 ?-point favorites) and Indiana.
Just 1-1 SU and ATS at home, Denver comes in just 3-8 ATS in its last 11 overall. The Nuggets are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 against Central Division teams.
Cleveland is 4-7 in its last 11 games overall but has fared well on the highway, going 24-10-1 ATS in its last 35.
Denver swept the two-game series last year, winning 110-99 as a one-point favorite at home in January and then scoring a 105-93 win as a six-point road dog in March. The Nuggets are 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in the last nine head-to-head meetings.
The under is 3-1 in the last four meetings, but the over is 3-1 in Denver?s last four outings overall.
ATS ADVANTAGE: NONE

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

New Mexico State (0-1 SU and ATS) at No. 11 Duke (1-0 SU, 0-0 ATS)
Two teams that qualified for last year?s NCAA Tournament square off at Cameron Indoor Stadium as New Mexico State visits 11th-ranked Duke for the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
New Mexico State opened its season at Ohio on Friday, falling 80-72 as a four-point underdog. Returning starter Justin Hawkins led the Aggies with 19 points and 11 rebounds at Ohio. The Aggies won the Western Athletic Conference tournament title last season but were knocked out of the Big Dance by Texas 79-67 in the first round, falling as eight-point underdogs.
Duke opened up with a non-lined home game against North Carolina Central on Friday, delivering a 121-56 beating. The Blue Devils finished last season losing four straight games both SU and ATS, including a 79-77 opening-round NCAA Tournament loss to Virginia Commonwealth as six-point favorites.
The Aggies are on positive ATS runs of 16-7 on the road, 12-3 in road games against winning teams and 11-3 following a straight-up loss. On the opposite end, New Mexico State is just 1-4 ATS in its last five non-conference outings and 1-4 ATS in its last five overall.
The Blue Devils are 1-5 ATS in their last six lined home games.
The under is 5-1 in New Mexico State?s last six road games, but the over is 4-1 in Duke?s last five games at Cameron.
ATS ADVANTAGE: NEW MEXICO STATE
