NBC Sunday Night Football: Cowboys vs. Packers Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome
Two teams heading in opposite directions will meet this Sunday night at Lambeau Field when the Packers host the Cowboys at 8:20PM ET. Continuing reading for our free pick of this Week 9 matchup.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Packers a 7-point favorite over the Cowboys in Week 9. The over/under total for this game is currently 45 points.
The Cowboys have stumbled to a 1-6 record and have failed to cover in six of their first seven games. They’re 1-2 on the road this year and failed to cover in two of those three games.
The Packers are 5-3 straight up but just 4-4 against the number. They’re 3-1 at home this season but just 2-2 ATS at Lambeau Field. They did cover against the Vikings the last time they were on Sunday Night Football, however.
Our Week 9 Free Pick:
The Cowboys are a horrendous football team. They can’t block, they can’t tackle they can’t execute, and they’re poorly coached. The Packers are the most banged up football team in the league this year but they can handle a bad Dallas team in their own backyard. As long as the Packers block DeMarcus Ware and give Aaron Rodgers enough time to find open receivers, Green Bay should win handily. The home team is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings between these two teams and the favorite is 7-2 ATS. Our pick is the Packers minus the points.
