Trends to Watch - Week 5

TEXAS A&M at OKLAHOMA STATE... OSU now 13-6 vs. number as Stillwater chalk since ‘06 (2-1 TY). Ags only 1-7 vs. line last 8 away from College Station, 4-10 as road dog since ‘07 (2-6 for Sherman). Tech edge-OSU, based on team trends.

BYU at UTAH STATE... Maybe the best chance for USU in series since 1993, its last win over BYU. Utags have covered the last 2 years in series, however, and 10-2 their last 12 as a dog. BYU 1-3 vs. line TY and now 8-18 last 26 on board. Tech edge-USU, based on team trends.

TEXAS vs. OKLAHOMA... Sooners have failed to cover the last five in this series, and only 1-4 SU in those meetings. All of that after Bob Stoops had owned Mack previously, winning and covering previous 5. Stoops only 1-5-1 vs. line last 7 away from Norman. If Mack getting points note he’s 5-1 his last 6 as short. Tech edge-Texas, based on series trends.

VANDERBILT at UCONN... Vandy now 20-7 vs. line away since ‘05, 18-4 as road dog that span. Dores also 7-1 vs. line last 8 as non-SEC visitor. Edsall just 2-3 last 5 as FBS chalk at The Rentsch. Tech edge-Vandy, based on team trends.

OHIO at EASTERN MICHIGAN... This is the fourth time in five seasons that Solich has played three straight road games, he’s 1-2 vs. line in previous three. Solich only 1-3 as road chalk LY. EMU could have started its regression last week vs. CMU, note Eagles just 3-12 vs. line their last 15 at Ypsilanti. Tech edge-slight to Ohio, based on EMU’s Ypsilanti woes.

BALL STATE at CENTRAL MICHIGAN... This was a real MAC showdown game a few years ago. CMU has won and covered 4 of las 5 meetings.
