Nebraska at Washington Week 3 CFB Pick and Prediction
By Drew Sharper
Despite being a top-10 team, Nebraska is just a 3-point favorite at unranked Washington on Saturday.
Nebraska is a 3-point favorite on the road at Washington according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. The over/under has been set at 52.5.
Despite being 2-0 on the season, Nebraska is just 0-2 against the spread this year while hitting the over in both games. The Cornhuskers are 3-0 ATS the last three seasons with a spread of +3 to -3 and also 6-3 ATS in road games since 2008. Nebraska has shown tendencies to hit the under, but have played things pretty even. Since 2008, Nebraska has hit the under in 16-of-29 lined games.
Washington is 1-1 on the season and 1-1 against the spread. The Huskies have split the over/under in the two games. Since 2008, Washington is just 9-17 ATS in all lined games and 7-13 ATS as an underdog. In terms of the over/under, Washington tends to hit the over, as they have hit it in 6-of-8 non-conference games since 2008 and in the lone game against a Big 12 opponent over the last three seasons.
Nebraska has surprisingly allowed more points in the first two games than we are accustomed to while also scoring more than we are used to. In this game, look for the points to fly as Washington quarterback Jake Locker will find some holes, especially at home. The spread is a little lower than we would expect, but the we think Nebraska will jump on that spread while hitting the over.
OUR COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 PICK: NEBRASKA -3 and OVER 52.5.
