New Era Pinstripe Bowl Indiana vs. Duke Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

In what should turn into a shootout at Yankee Stadium, Duke will take on Indiana in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl today at 3:30PM ET.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI currently list the over/under for today's game at 72.5, up from the opening number of 67. The Hoosiers are also a 3-point favorite after opening as a 2-point fave versus the Blue Devils.

Indiana has been a cash cow for over bettors this season. In the Hoosiers' 11 games during the regular season, the over was 8-2-1 and the combined score went over the total by an average margin of +10.3. After he led the Big Ten in passing yards (3,184) and touchdown passes (24), it's unlikely that IU quarterback Nate Sudfeld will be slowed today.

As for the Blue Devils, the under cashed in seven of their 12 games but they averaged 30.5 points per game this season thanks in large part to quarterback Thomas Sirk. The junior isn't the dynamic passer that Sudfeld is, but Sirk can still beat you with his arm (2,461 passing) and legs (team-high 654 yards, six touchdowns). Plus, Indiana ranked 116th in the nation in points allowed per game, surrendering 37.1 points per contest this season. Sirk shouldn't have much issue moving the ball this afternoon.
