NFL Betting Preview: Lions at Bears Trends, Injuries & Picks

Fresh off their first win in over 16 games, the Detroit Lions head to Solider Field on Sunday to take on Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears.

Bet NFL Week 4

With their 19-14 win over the Redskins last week, the Lions ended one of the longest losing streaks in NFL history. Matthew Stafford threw for 241 yards and a touchdown, while Bryant Johnson caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown.

The Bears improved to 2-1 on the season with their 25-19 victory over the Seahawks. Cutler passed for 247 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the win, as Chicago covered the 2.5-point spread.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Bears 10-point favorites at home against the Lions. The over/under total for this game has been set at 41.

The Lions’ win last week over the Redskins is proof that the players have bought into what new head coach Jim Schwartz is preaching. Detroit has played with more confidence this season and is more competitive.

They’ll face a tough Chicago team, but one that has only played in tight ballgames up to this point. Cutler is playing extremely well, but the Bears don’t have the offensive firepower yet and there might be bad weather in Chicago on Sunday, so we think the Lions will keep things close.

Take Detroit, as well as the under 41. As we previously noted, it’s been raining in Chicago for the last couple days and it could make for sloppy conditions.

Our NFL Week 4 Free Pick for this matchup is: DETROIT LIONS +10 and UNDER 41.
