NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Packers vs. 49ers Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) – The 49ers will host the Packers tonight in the Divisional Round NFL playoffs at 8:00PM ET. Will the game be a low-scoring affair?

GAME INFO: Last games: (Sep. 9, 2012). San Francisco (+6) over GREEN BAY, 30-22. The Green Bay Packers (12-5 SU, 10-7 ATS, 8-9) are coming off an easy 24-10 win in the wild card-round against Minnesota at home, giving 10.5. They were fortunate that backup QB Joe Webb played instead of Christian Ponder. They'll face a similar quarterback in Colin Kaepernick, who is a better passer. San Francisco (11-4-1 SU, 9-7 ATS, 9-6-1 O/U) had a bye last week to prepare. They won three of their last four games. The Niners host the Packers on Saturday at 8pmET at Candlestick Park.

NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 49ers are 2.5-point favorites versus the Packers while the over/under total is currently sitting at 44.5 points. Green Bay is 12-5 overall and 4-4 on the road this year, while San Francisco is 11-4 overall and 6-1 at home.

Line Movement: The 49ers opened as a 3-point favorite but the spread has dropped to 2.5 at some online sports books. (The line has stayed steady at 3 at all of the Las Vegas books, however.) As for the total, it has dropped from 45 down to 44.5.

Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 64% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Packers. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.

NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take the under. According to latest NFL trends, Green Bay is: 1-6 Under last 7 vs. NFC, 2-6 Under last 8 and 2-5 Under last 7 following an ATS win. San Francisco is 3-8 Under last 11 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. The San Francisco 49ers and their defense is well-rested to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Green Bay shut down Joe Webb and Minnesota last week, year Green Bay took care of business at home in the wild-card round, sending Aaron Rodgers and company to San Francisco to face a well-rested 49ers defense. San Francisco got a win over Arizona in Week 17 to edge the Packers for a first-round bye and closed the season by winning five of its last seven, with the lone setbacks coming on the road. Green Bay is led by LB Clay Matthews (13 sacks), who had a great year despite injuries costing him four games. He also had two sacks last week and forced a fumble. The return of S Charles Woodson helps the defense that will see some read-option for the second week in a row. San Francisco's defense has held opposing passers to 200.2 yards - fourth-best in the NFL - and finished second in the league in scoring defense. Rodgers struggled until late in the game and was intercepted once in the first meeting. San Francisco is led by DE Aldon Smith (19.5 sacks) and has surrendered an average of 13.9 points in eight home games. The Niners rank 4th against the pass (200.2ypg) and 4th against the run (94.2ypg). LB NaVorro Bowman leads in tackles with 149, while LB Patrick Willis adds 120. LB Aldon Smith leads with 19.5 sacks. The Niners will be ready to take on Rodgers and their passing offense.
