NFL Preseason Betting Preview: Ravens at Panthers
Two playoff teams from a year ago meet at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday night as the Carolina Panthers host the Baltimore Ravens at 8:00PM ET.
The Ravens and Panthers have taken different paths to meet in Charlotte as Baltimore has dropped its first two preseason games, while Carolina has won its first two games.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL have made the Panthers 3-point home favorites over the Ravens on Saturday night. The over/under total for this game has been set at 36.
In the last meeting between these two teams, Carolina edged Baltimore 23-21 on the road in October of 2006. The Panthers also squeaked by the Ravens 10-7 in September of 2002.
The trends favor Carolina and the over in this matchup, as the Panthers are 5-1 over coming off an over and the Ravens are 0-5 against the spread playing on six days of rest or less.
This is a tough game to handicap given that both of these teams should challenge for a playoff berth again and each are expected to play their starters for at least the entire first half. The point spread is right where it should be at 3, so we’ll recommend going with the under 36 in what should be a defensive matchup through and through.
NFL Preseason Week 3: Ravens at Panthers Odds & Over/Under Totals:
