Bet NFL Week 11 Picks & Predictions
A couple of underdogs caught our attention in Week 11 of the NFL. Continue reading for our NFL Week 11 Picks & Predictions for Sunday, November 21.
Browns vs. Jaguars
Even though they lost last week, the Browns have turned some heads with their play of late. The Jaguars are also in the thick of things in the AFC South thanks to a dramatic victory against the Texans last Sunday in which David Garrard through a 50-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Mike Thomas as time expired. The side is too close to call, but we see value in the over with where the total is at. The over is 4-0 in the Browns’ last four games overall and 7-1 in the Jaguars’ last eight games versus the AFC. Neither of these teams are very explosive but yet they have managed to find the end zone with relative success over the past couple of weeks. We think this will be a back-and-forth game, which usually leads to plenty of scoring. Our pick is the over 43.
Cardinals vs. Chiefs
The Chiefs should bounce back this week at home but nine points is still a lot to lay with a team that has struggled of late. That’s why we think there’s more value in the over, which is 7-1 in the Cardinals’ last eight games overall and 4-0 in the Chiefs’ last four games in November. Matt Cassel is coming off a career-game against the Broncos in which he threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns. While those numbers will be difficult to top, there’s no reason to believe he won’t have a large amount of success against a suspect Arizona defense. We think this game is primed for big plays, turnovers and points. Our pick is the over. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the over/under total is currently 43 points.
Lions vs. Cowboys
We think it’s a tad premature to jump back on the Cowboys’ bandwagon. They crushed the Giants last Sunday but this is a team that has been known for putting together some pretty lackluster efforts and we wouldn’t put it past Dallas to mail it in against an inferior Detroit team. The Lions have been beating the spread all season and we think they’ll pick up another cover this weekend. Detroit is 4-0 in its last four games versus the NFC and 5-1 ATS in its lat six games overall. Our pick is the Lions, who have been in virtually every game in some capacity this season. According to latest NFL odds, the Lions are a 7-point underdog against the Cowboys.
Packers vs. Vikings
There’s little reason to take the Vikings here. The Packers are the better team, they’re well rested after having their bye last week and the Vikings are coming off another lackluster performance in yet another loss. But we’re due for another Brett Favre “He sure has fun out there!” games. This may very well be the last time he gets to stick it to Green Bay GM Ted Thompson. Favre has been highly turnover-prone this season but something tells us that he’ll put on a show for the Metrodome faithful this Sunday. The underdog is 17-6 against the spread in the last 23 meetings between these two teams and the Vikings are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games. Our pick is the Vikings +3.
