NFL Week 12 Picks & Predictions For Sunday November 28, 2010
By Anthony Rome
Two favorites and two underdogs caught our eye this Sunday in the NFL. Find out which home dog we like and which home favorite we think will roll when you check out our NFL Week 12 Picks & Predictions.
Jaguars vs. Giants
The Jaguars are playing with confidence but they're about to get exposed. This isn't a team that can consistently win with the talent they have on their roster and even though the Giants are struggling, they're about to get healthy on Sunday. The Jags are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as a road underdog. The Giants are 6-2 against the spread in their lat eight games after accumulating less than 150 yards passing in their previous game and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game. Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw must protect the football better then they have this year, but they should roll on Sunday. It's time for this team to get back on track. According to Week 12 NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the G-Men are 7-point favorites. Our pick is the Giants -7.
Chiefs vs. Seahawks
The Chiefs are a good young team and have put together a solid season. But there's no way they should be favored in this game. Matt Hasselbeck is starting to play really well of late and the Seahawks are a different team at home this year than they are on the road. While that's the case for most teams, the Hawks have always been tough at Qwest Field, no matter what they're record has been. The favorite is 5-2 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams, while the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. If Seattle can figure out a way to slow Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe, they should be fine. Our pick is the Seahawks +1.
Bucs vs. Ravens
The Bucs are being undervalued week in and week out by oddsmakers. Josh Freeman has played very well this season and has a couple of nice young pieces around him in Mike Williams and LeGarrette Blount. The Ravens are playing well themselves and have been exceptional at home this year, but nine points is too much to be laying to a good Bucs team. Tampa is 7-0 against the number in its last seven road games and 4-0 ATS in its last four games overall. According to latest NFL trends, the Bucs are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and 4-0 ATS in their last four games in November. Our pick is Tampa Bay +7.5.
Chargers vs. Colts
The Chargers have had a ton of success against the Colts over the years, but Indy has played incredibly well at home this season. It’s tough to go against Peyton Manning at home coming off a loss, so we won’t. Philip Rivers has played at an MVP level, but he could have trouble moving the ball against a swarming Colts’ defense. Indy is 7-0-1 against the spread in its last eight games in Week 12 and 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven games in November. The Colts are also 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games at home. Our pick is the Colts -2.5.
