NFL Week Seven Report
By Mr. East

Another winning football week is now in the books, as both NCAAF and NFL football were winners for the week. We now turn to NCAAF week 8, and NFL week 7.

I will present NFL week 7 as I always do, and a feature I call "Lay of the line" This takes a snapshot picture of where the money has been in the NFL over the last 25 years in terms of week number 7, so without further adieu, let's start launching some success patterns, and see if they are can play a role in another winning week. A word of caution. This isn't meant to be a determining factor to find plays, this is just a guideline to measure against all other facets of handicapping, just 1 instrument, or one ingredient in the recipe to win.

Week 7 home dogs in the NFL have flourished in the range of 3.5 or less where they have turned in a nice 26-12 ATS mark. Put these same home underdogs in at 4 or more, and they get buried to the tune of 17-26 ATS, so history shows home dogs are 43-38 ATS in week 7, but definitely a difference, buy on at 3.5 or less, sell at 4+.

There is another home dog trend relating to totals as home dogs from 2-5 points have played 26 under and 15 over, while at the same time, home dogs from 5.5-7.5 have played 16 over and 5 under, so once again we find a range from 2-7.5 for the home dogs 31-31 over/under, but with glaring differences in specific ranges.

Totals find a few hotspots as well. Low totals that cross or land on a few key numbers (37,38), have shown a relationship of playing against the home team. Totals from 35-38 have seen the home team go 31-47-2 ATS, so beware of the home team with a low posted total in week 7. Like many others these numbers flip when the posted total is 38.5-40.5 as the home team becomes a cash cow at 29-12-2 ATS.

High totals are usually "square" money over plays, but not in week 7. Week 7 totals from 47.5 and up are 11-4-1 to the over, and an identical 11-4-1 ATS to the home team.

That's the Lay of the line for NFL week 7, wishing you success going forward in the football season.
