North Carolina vs. Notre Dame Week 7 Picks & Predictions
By Anthony Rome

SOUTH BEND, IN (The Spread) - Following its big win over Stanford last Saturday, Notre Dame will look to avoid a letdown when it hosts North Carolina today at 3:30PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Notre Dame is a 16.5-point favorite over North Carolina while the over/under total for today's game is currently sitting at 65 points. Just under 60% of the betting public has currently wagered on the Irish.

LINE MOVEMENT: Notre Dame opened as a 16-point favorite but the spread has been bet up to 16.5 or 17 depending on which sports book you view. The total, meanwhile, opened at 62.5 and has been bet up to 65 at most sports books.

SEASON RECORDS: The Tar Heels enter play with a 2-3 record and is a painful (or profitable, depending on how you look at it) 0-5 at the betting window this season. On the other side, the Irish are a perfect 5-0 straight up and a solid 4-1 against the spread, while the under is 4-1 in their five games this season.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take the under. According to latest college football trends, the under is 4-0 in the Tar Heels' last four games in October, 4-1 in their last five games versus a team with a winning record and 6-2 in their last eight games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game. On the other side, the under is 17-4 in the Fighting Irish's last 21 games versus ACC opponents, 7-1 in their last eight games in October and 21-5 in their last 26 games following a straight up win.
