Notre Dame vs. Florida State Week 8 Picks & Predictions

TALLAHASSEE, FL (The Spread) - Florida State is once again mixed up in controversy but the Seminoles are a double-digit favorite tonight versus Notre Dame at 8:00PM ET.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Florida State is an 11.5-point favorite over Notre Dame while the over/under total is currently off the board. As of this writing, nearly 70% of public bettors currently favor the Fighting Irish plus the points.

LINE MOVEMENT: Florida State opened as 13.5-point favorites but the line has dropped down to 11.5 or even 10 at some sports books.

SEASON RECORDS: The Seminoles are a perfect 6-0 straight up but they're just 1-5 against the spread this season while the Fighting Irish are also 6-0 straight up and a respectable 4-2 at the betting window. While the under is 4-2 in Notre Dame's six games this year, it's 3-3 in Florida State's six contests.

NCAA FREE PICK: Take Notre Dame. According to latest college football trends, the Fighting Irish are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a winning record, 5-1 ATS in their last six games in October and 4-0 ATS in their last four games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. On the other side, the Seminoles are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall, 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win and 1-5 ATS in their last six games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
