NBA | Spurs vs Raptors
Play on: Raptors -5 -115 at BMaker
My 1* Free Play is on the Toronto Raptors (7:05 EST).
I think the Spurs have a letdown here in the finale of their three-game inter-conference road trip. San Antonio has been inconsistent of late, having split wins/losses over its last ten games, most recently getting the better of Brooklyn 100-95 on Wednesday.
The Raptors snapped a two-game slide with a 96-91 home win over the Pistons on Wednesday.
To say this is a “revenge” game would be a bit of an understatement I think as well, because San Antonio has taken four straight in the series, including a 101-97 victory at home back in late October.
The Spurs come into this one averaging 101.3 PPG, while conceding 97.9. Big man LaMarcus Aldridge has been the most consistent players for San Antonio this year, averaging 22.7 points and 8.5 boards per game. Aldridge had 34 points and eight boards in the win over the Nets.
The Raptors average 112 PPG and concede 104.3. DeMar DeRozan leads the way with 25.2 points plus five assists per game. CJ Miles came off the bench to lead Toronto with 21 points in the win over Detroit.
I’ll point out that San Antonio is 0-4-1 ATS in its last five following a SU/ATS victory, while Toronto is 8-2 ATS in its last ten when playing on just one days rest.
Kawhi Leonard has once again been lost to injury for San Antonio and the Spurs enter the final game of this trip tired. The Raptors on the other hand had lost three of four previous to their latest victory, so won’t be taking anything for granted tonight.
I anticipate a convincing victory for the home side. Consider laying the points in this one.
Good luck…Larry

NCAA-B | St Bonaventure vs Davidson
Play on: UNDER 144 -110
St. Bonaventure vs Davidson Free Pick January 19, 2018.
The Davidson Wildcats are sitting in second place in the Atlantic-10 behind Rhode Island. They are 4-1 in conference play, and 5-0 at home. Ladies and gentleman, this isn't Steph Curry's Davidson team, these boys are earning their stripes with strong defensive play rather than sharp shooting. The Wildcats have only scored an average of 69 points over their last five games, but they have held opponents to just 53.8 points per game during that span. The Bonnies are a high scoring team, and they have gone over in five straight. High scoring games haven't materialized in previous trips to Davidson though. They lost here last February by a score of 68-63, and they won by a score of 62-61 in their previous visit in 2015. St. Bonaventure has lost three straight on the road, and while they went over the total in all three of those games, they had failed to reach the total in seven straight road games prior to that. I expect another scrappy low scoring game here between two bitter conference rivals.
Take UNDER.

NCAA-B | Indiana vs Michigan State
Play on: Michigan State -15 -105 at 5Dimes
Michigan St. remains home after a loss to Michigan last time out which was its first home loss of the season and just its fifth loss at the Breslin Center over the last three years where it is 39-5. The Spartans will be out to avenge that loss as Indiana heads to Lansing at the wrong time. Michigan St. is No. 1 in the country in field goal percentage defense (34.9 percent), No. 2 in scoring margin (+21.2), No. 1 in blocked shots per game (8.0), No. 3 in rebound margin (+11.3) and No. 22 in scoring defense (64.0 ppg). The Spartans are just as strong on offense as they are No. 3 in shooting at 51.7 percent and in 19 games this season, Michigan St. leads the nation with 21.2 apg and is No. 1 in the country in total assists with 403. Additionally, the Spartans have assists on 70.2 percent of their field goals which leads the nation. Indiana has won three straight games to improve to 4-2 in the Big Ten but do not take too much from that as those wins came against three struggling programs. The Hoosiers are only 1-4 on the road with the lone win coming at Minnesota which is without two key starters. They are 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 50 points in their previous game while the Spartans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a double-digit loss at home. This is a matchup between two teams that are clearly going two different places. Miami has reeled off 8 of 9 while the Nets have surrendered 6 of 7.
Miami is alive in the playoff race and that means they have to win the games that they're supposed to win, and this is certainly one of them.
The Heat usually do well for gamblers on the road, they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 away games, and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 overall.
The Heat wins and covers.
3* MIAMI

NBA (801) SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS (802) TORONTO RAPTORS
Take: UNDER
Reason: Your free play for Friday, January 19, 2018 is in the NBA scheduled contest between the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors. Spurs are going to be shorthanded here on Friday as guard Manu Ginobili (9.1 ppg) has been downgraded to out for Friday and the team is without forward Kawhi Leonard (16.2 ppg). This is a Spurs team that barely averages over 100 ppg as it was. This is going to lead me toward the UNDER here on Friday. The Spurs have gone under in 15 of their last 20 road games. The Spurs defense is good, allowing just 98.2 ppg. The Raptors have been a high scoring team, averaging 114.5 ppg. However, the Spurs know they can't get into a run and gun shootout here and will have to play a half court game. I'm taking UNDER with the Spurs being shorthanded and looking to slow the pace.
