SCOTT SPREITZER
NCAA-B | Jan 26, 2018
Oakland vs. Northern Kentucky
Northern Kentucky-6½

I'm recommending a play on Northern Kentucky minus the points on Friday. Northern Kentucky has won seven of its last eight games and has won its last three by an average of 18 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. Oakland has won four straight, but it's just 1-6 ATS its last seven games. Northern Kentucky has a big edge defensively as it allows a .427 field goal percentage overall and just .316 from 3-point range, which is important when facing the Golden Grizzlies. At home, the Norse defense is even better as it holds opponents to only 29.1 percent from long distance. Drew McDonald leads the Norse with a 16.8 scoring average while grabbing 8.4 rebounds per game. Northern Kentucky is 18-6-2 ATS its last 26 games overall and 15-5-1 ATS its last 21 home contests. The Norse won and covered the first meeting on the road 87-83 on Jan. 5 and we'll back them here. We're recommending a play on Northern Kentucky minus the points on Friday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

MARC LAWRENCE

Play - Harvard (Game 823).

Edges - Crimson: 6-0 ATS away in this series… Eli: 2-7 SU and 2-6 ATS versus .400 or greater foes this season… With Harvard playing with revenge from a loss to Yale in the semi-finals of the Ivy League tourney last season, we recommend a 1* play on Harvard. Thank you and good luck as always.

Harvard vs. Yale
Harvard+1½

The Ivy league comp play is on Harvard plus a point or two at 7:00 eastern, Harvard has covered 3 of 4 as a dog and the visiting team in their series with Yale has covered 10 of 11. Harvard has done well on this court covering the last 6 times. They have a solid RPI Scale advantage and Yale is 0-5 vs teams ranked between 100 and 200. Yale has failed to cover 6 of 7 as a home favorite and will have trouble scoring against an excellent top 50 defensive squad like Harvard. Take Harvard in this one. On Friday the NBA Central Division 100% Game of the Year headlines a 3 game NBA Pack that also has a perfect totals system. In College hoops we have another top play with 9 power angles. For the Friday free play Play on Harvard. Rob V- GC Sports.

STEPHEN NOVER

Pacers vs. Cavs
Cavs-5

I acknowledge backing Cleveland is a leap of faith. The Cavaliers are 4-11 in their last 15 games - and that's straight-up not against the spread. Chemistry is bad and Tyronn Lue has no business being an NBA head coach. But if the Cavaliers can't show up here, at home in triple revenge, then they really are unbackable. A new starting lineup with Tristan Thompson at center and Kevin Love at power forward should give the Pacers matchup problems especially if Myles Turner remains out due to a sore elbow. He hasn't played since Jan. 8 missing the last eight games. Indiana has won all three meetings against Cleveland this season. This will be the first time, though, the Pacers have played the Cavaliers with Isaiah Thomas in the lineup. The Cavaliers blew a 22-point lead in their last game against the Pacers, losing 97-95 on Jan. 13. That was at Indiana. Thomas has had eight games now to get in sync with LeBron James, Love and the rest of his teammates. Thomas is not a good defensive player, but he's due now to step up especially with the motivation of going against Victor Oladipo, who was picked to the East All-Star team by James.

JESSE SCHULE
NCAA-B | Jan 26, 2018
Oakland vs. Northern Kentucky
Oakland+7

The Oakland Grizzlies finished in first place in the Horizon League last year, and they won more than their fair share of road games in the process. They were 10-2 on the road last year, and they have won three of four road games in the Horizon League so far this season. The Grizzlies are on the road at North Kentucky tonight, looking to avenge a home loss to the Norse earlier this season. Oakland led 47-41 at halftime in that game, but the Norse pulled away in the second half, winning by a score of 87-83. The Grizzlies had won and covered in each of the previous three meetings, including a 79-70 win at Northern Kentucky last January. Oakland comes in averaging over 85 points per game over their last five, which is 10 points more than the Norse have averaged during the same span. Northern Kentucky may be 7-1 in the Horizon League, but only one of those wins came against a team with a winning record, and that was their win at Oakland. Home court hasn't provided much of an advantage in this series, as the road team has covered in four of the last five meetings.

Take OAK.

GL,

Jesse Schule

TOMMY BRUNSON

Michigan State has been in the news an awful lot lately, and none of it is good news, as the whole story with Larry Nassar is about as bad as it gets. There is no need to get on a soap box on that subject, it speaks for itself, and the fact of the matter is we are looking specifically at this Big Ten hoops game between Wisconsin and Michigan State.

I don't think it is going to go well for the Badgers tonight, as Wisconsin is clearly notches below their previous talent level of their recent editions. Wisconsin's 1-4 straight up slide their last 5 has dropped their season ledger to 10-11 on the season. The pointspread has not been kind to them at all, as the Badgers are 1-7-1 against the spread on the road, winning just 1 time straight up in their 9 away from Madison. They are also on a 3-13-2 overall road spread run their last 18 lined away games. No, this is not one of Wisconsin's better editions!

Michigan State has won and covered their last pair in Big Ten play, both as double-digit favorites, and they are 9-4 against the spread this season on their home hardwood.

Sparty is also on a 2-game series win and cover streak, and own a 10-2 overall spread mark the last 12 times these conference-rivals have faced one another.

It's a big number, but based on the trends I just listed it makes no sense backing the underdog Badgers tonight.

Lay it with Michigan State.

3* MICHIGAN STATE

Two high powered offensives that are playing well right now. Houston has won 7 of 8, New Orleans has won 6 of 7. Think it's going over? Think again!

Whenever the Rockets play on one day's rest the game always goes under lately, the under is 4-0 in the Rockets’ last 4 games playing on 1 day off.

In fact, lately all the Rockets games are going under, especially out West, the under is 6-0 in the Rockets last six overall, 5-0 in their last five against the West.

When New Orleans plays good teams they step up their defense and the game usually goes under, New Orleans Under is 20-8-1 in their last 29 against teams with a winning record.

Finally, every time these two teams play in New Orleans, the games overwhelmingly favor under, the under 18-7-1 the last 26 meetings in New Orleans.

Under is free play.

4* HOUSTON-NEW ORLEANS UNDER
