Cavaliers/Warriors 3:05: Cavaliers made the double-digit comeback win last year in this matchup; today, I'm taking the points with the Cavaliers again. Curry is out which does take away offensive production and steals from the Warriors' stats. Sure, Durant, Thompson and Green are surely a dangerous trifecta on any given day; however, I do like the rhythm the Cavaliers are in on a 19-2 SU run. Lay it today in Beantown as Washington and Boston hit the hardwood on this Christmas Day.
The home team has claimed the straight up win in each of the last 11 series meetings, and the Celtics have covered in each of the last 3 meetings, and 6 of the last 8 overall showdowns.
This is the first meeting of the season between the teams since their 7-game playoff throw-down last season, and based on those series trends I just laid out, I will stick with the host winning and covered another.
The Wizards are just 4-4 straight up their last 8 games, and only 2-6 against the spread in those 8 played. Meanwhile, the Celtics have definitely cooled since their blazing start, but the C's have been able to take 3 of their last 5 leading into this showdown, including an emphatic win and cover their last time out over the Bulls.
