Your Saturday freebie is the St. Louis Billikens plus the generous points at La Salle this afternoon.

St. Louis is simply getting too many points today. The Bills are 6-2 straight up the last 8 series meetings against their Atlantic Ten rival, and in the last meeting they destroyed the Explorers, 70-55.

St. Louis has raised their record to 7-6 with wins in their last pair of game, while host La Salle comes in having dropped 3 of their last 4, including a puzzling loss to Bucknell their last time out.

The Billikens sport a 21-7 spread mark their last 28 in A-10 action, and they have covered in 9 of their last 11 on the road. Meanwhile, La Salle is on a 3-7 against the spread dip, and are without one of their leading scorers in B.J. Johnson for this matinee game at home.

Too many points!

Take 'em with St. Louis.

3* ST. LOUIS

TOMMY BRUNSON

Lay the lumber in Kingston this afternoon when the Patriots of George Mason bring their 6-7 season mark in to face the Rams of Rhode Island who have won all 7 of their home games this season, and recently ran away with a 20-point home win over Florida Gulf Coast.

Coach Dan Hurley took this URI team big dancing last March, and they figure to back in the field this March as well, as the Rams feature 4 senior regulars from last year's squad, and they do have the services of senior guard E.C. Matthews now back in the rotation after he was sidelined with an injury.

George Mason has a ton of talent at the guard position, but they are not very experienced - no seniors on the roster! - and the Patriots are averaging just under 687 points per game (compared to URI's 76 per game). The Pats are also on an 0-4 spread run over their last 6 games.

Series numbers show Rhody with wins in the last 4 meetings, and covers in 2 of the last 3. Included is a 81-63 romp as the -12 1/2 point favorite the last meeting in Kingston.

Lay it with the Rams in a romp.

2* RHODE ISLAND

Lets face it, The Knicks do not play well away from the Garden. They have clearly struggled on the road and this has been the biggest problem that they have faced in this otherwise overachieving and exciting year for them.

New York has to find a way to win as the visiting team, and they haven't really been able to figure that out yet.

To make matters worse, New Orleans has been unstoppable on offense. The problem for them is defense. Being third in the league in scoring doesn't mean as much as it should when you’re giving up the second most points in the league. Still, until the Knicks show the capacity to win on the road, you simply can’t trust them.

Knicks are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games

Pelicans are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record

Think no rest will hurt the Pelicans? think again. Pelicans are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest.

Pelicans are the Play here.

5* NEW ORLEANS
