NCAA-B | Texas A&M vs Kansas
Play on: Texas A&M +7 -104 at 5Dimes

Texas A&M Aggies +7

This play just missed out on our premium card. The Texas A&M Aggies and the Kansas Jayhawks face off on Saturday and in this game the underdog has the value.

The Jayhawks have been involved a lot of close contests as of late, and have had trouble covering the spread. In four of the last five games they have failed to cover the spread.

The Aggies defense has been good this year giving up only 67 points per game. The Jayhawks offense has slowed down as of late only averaging 75 points per game.

The Aggies will be able to slow down the pace in this game, and keep it close.

Some trends to note. Aggies are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big 12. Underdog is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings.

NCAA-B | Georgia vs Kansas State
Play on: Kansas State -7 -110 at BMaker

I'm recommending a play on Kansas State minus the points on Saturday. Georgia had a promising start to the season but the Bulldogs appear to have run out of gas as they have lost four of their last five games, including a double overtime loss at home to Arkansas on Tuesday. Yante Maten scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, but he continues to be a one-man show for the Bulldogs, who shot just 43.6 percent against the Razorbacks even with a big advantage at the free-throw line making 20 of 29 compared to 11 of 14 for Arkansas. Kansas State is 5-0 ATS its last five games and the only loss was by one point at Kansas. The Wildcats defeated Baylor on Monday 90-83 while shooting 57.1 percent from the field and Barry Brown exploded for 34 points and Dean Wade added 24 points. Georgia is 3-7 ATS its last 10 road games and faces a tough test trying to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss in a non-conference road game. I'm recommending a play on Kansas State minus the points. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

NCAA-B | Akron vs Ball State
Play on: Akron +7½ -105 at BMaker

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach CBB Game #523 Saturday Free Pick Akron Zips (+) @ Ball State Cardinals @ Noon ET - The Cardinals are seeking revenge for a loss to the Zips in the conference tournament last spring. However, Akron has won 3 straight games over the Cards including their last visit to Ball State. Also, the Zips are 18-6 long-term versus the Cardinals. Maybe Ball State gets their revenge here but I doubt they get the cover given those numbers. Note that the Cards are a long-term 9-27 ATS as a favorite and that includes 2-5 ATS this season! The Zips are 5-3 ATS and 6-3 SU in Saturday games this season. More of the same here! Free Pick on AKRON

NBA | Hornets vs Heat
Play on: Heat -4½ -107 at 5Dimes

#NBA FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

Terrible spot for the Hornets here as they're coming off a 121-110 triumph against the Hawks Friday night. Charlotte is 1-4 ATS in its last five games playing on no rest and 2-8-1 ATS in its last 11 games following a straight up win (4-10-1 ATS its last 15 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points).

Tonight it'll face a Heat side that has won all three meetings this season (5-0 ATS last five encounters) and Miami has had an extra day of rest since taking an embarrasing home loss to Sacramento - the last-place team in the Western Conference. Heat are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following a straight up loss and should bounce back with a big performance tonight.

My free pick is on Miami Heat.

Let's face it, NC State has had a hard time defending the quality teams. They gave up 86 to Maryland, 85 to Duke, and 88 to Notre Dame, why would the Tar Heels be any different?

When NC State plays good teams, the games tend to always go over the posted total, the over is 4-1 last 5 times they played a team with a winning percentage above 60%.

The Tar Heels, thanks to deep scoring and home court advantage, have gone over the total 10 of the last 11 times they played at home.

This one is headed over the total!

Not long ago Georgia looked like they could be the "sleeper" team to emerge from the SEC, but it sure looks like the same old-same old yet again in Athens under Mark Fox, as the 'Dawgs take to the road (not there strong suit) of another loss this past Tuesday at home against Arkansas. That loss to the Hogs saw UGa blow an early 27-11 lead on their home floor, as they were extended to double-overtime before falling by 3 as Georgia absorbed their 4th loss in their last 5 games.

On the road the Bulldogs are just 4-5 both straight up and against the spread with losses coming in 4 of their last 5 away from Athens.

Kansas State has definitely fooled me, as I thought for sure once Bruce Weber's team lost their starting point-guard Kamau Stokes they would go into the tank, but the reverse has been true. The Wildcats battled right down to the bitter end in their eventual one-point loss at Kansas on January 13th, but have since reeled off 3 straight wins - over Oklahoma, TCU and most recently Baylor. The 'Cats have also covered in each of their last 5 games.

These teams did play a home-and-home versus each other back in 2014-2015, the road team winning and covering in both. The most recent meeting saw the 'Cats beat the 'Dawgs, 68-66 in Athens in 2015 as the small road dog. The road oriented trend will NOT continue today.

Georgia will not be able to shake off that hurtful double-overtime loss earlier this week to the Hogs, as this game will get away from the Bulldogs the later the game wears on.

Lay it with the Wildcats at home.

3* KANSAS STATE

Revenge in Eugene!

Oregon State dumped Oregon in the first conference meeting, 76-64 on January 5th as the small home underdog. That win and cover did fall in line with the series trends that have developed and are too overwhelming to ignore. The home team in this series has claimed the straight up win in 9 of the past 11 meetings, and stands at a money-making 7-3-1 against the spread in the last 11 showdowns.

Over the past 5 series meetings on Oregon's funky forest hardwood, the Ducks have won outright by a margin of nearly 18 points per game!

These schools are on similar travel-cycles playing out of the pacific northwest, and both have just completed hosting the L.A. schools, and traveling to the Arizona Universities. The results? Oregon managed a 2-2 straight up split, including a win in Tempe versus Arizona State, while Oregon State went just 1-3 straight up, with the lone win a home victory over UCLA.

With in-season revenge on their side, and that strong home court stat staring us right in the face, I say lay the lumber with the Ducks at home to take another lopsided final from the Beavers.

2* OREGON

MIKE ANTHONY
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Detroit Pistons (NBA) - Jan 27, 2018 5:00 PM EST
Play: Point Spread: -3.5/-110 Oklahoma City Thunder Pick Title: FREE PLAY Saturday Evening
The Oklahoma City offense is very deep shot heavy, and they will also be very tough to defend with their second chance opportunities. Despite not getting the ball as often as he might be used to - Paul George is still lighting up defenses with his 21 pts/gm this season. Oklahoma City has gotten more comfortable with moving the ball. And that is why they have been winning on a more consistent basis. Detroit are a more talented team than some give credit for, and their defense is no joke, ranking 6th in the league right now. But - I am surprised to see their team struggling the way it has this year, and I don't know how this team will step up. I'm expecting problems on the offensive side - as Detroit is still figuring things out with their shot selection. Oklahoma City wins by 10 here on at the road.
