Raiders could have won on Monday because the Eagles were so bad on offense. Last year Derek Carr was hyped for a good TD/INT ratio behind a great offensive line, with two great WRs and a good OC (Musgrave) who let him execute a lot of quick passes and avoid any pressure. Derek Carr is awful under pressure. As soon as he faces the slightest pressure, he gets frantic, completely abandons his footwork and forces passes with awful mechanics. The interior offensive line is still good, but the tackles Marshall Newhouse and rookie David Sharpe are one of the worst tackle tandems to this point, they are going to get absolutely destroyed by Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa. At the end of the game, the OL got hammered by 3-men rushes and Carr was out of sync. Chargers should try to disguise their pass rush, faking mid blitzes while rushing 3-4 so that Bosa and Ingram get a lot of 1 on 1's. Chargers secondary is too good to not make Carr pay. On the flip side, the Chargers offense has enough left in the tank to put up enough points on one of the worst defenses in the league.

The Redskins haven't swept the Giants in 6 years. The only team the Redskins have beaten in divisional action is New York. In other words, Washington certainly hasn't been overly impressive this season. While the Giants truly have an awful record this season, this could be Eli Manning's last game here. After he and the Giants laid an egg at Arizona last week, I look for them to respond with a strong effort this week. Look for New York's effort to be very similar to what they managed in their most recent game which was two weeks ago versus the Eagles. The Giants had over 500 yards of offense in that one but fell just short on the scoreboard. The Redskins are only 2-5 on the road this season and also are on a long-term 3-9 run in games played on turf.
