We had a play on the OVER in the Saints/Panthers last weekend and those two teams would go on to combine for 57 points in New Orleans’ victory. These teams met in Week 1 and the Vikes went on to win 29-19, the total sneaking over the 47.5 number. It was a rare big offensive performance for Minnesota, which relies almost completely on its defense to carry the load most weeks (note that over the final three weeks of the regular season the Vikes allowed a total of 17 points.) Also note that New Orleans has seen the total go UNDER the number in three of its last four after scoring 30 or more points in its previous contest, while Minnesota has seen the total go UNDER the number in two of its last three when playing with two or more weeks of rest. The conditions seem right for more of a “chess match” then a “track meet.” Consider the UNDER.
