Back on the ice tonight, as my free winner is on the Washington Capitals against the Boston Bruins.
Did you all realize the Caps have won 11 in a row against Boston? That includes two victories this season.
Tonight I'm siding with Washington, and presumably goaltender Braden Holtby, who is 13-2-0 against the Bruins, with a filthy 1.90 goals against average, a stingy .942 save percentage and three shutouts.
So, hate to tell you Boston sports fans, your Bruins who have won five in a row by a combined score of 20-5, and who are on a 14-3-1 run, are about to hit a brick wall.
The Capitals are desperate for a win, after winning eight of nine earlier December, but come into this one on an 0-1-2 skid.
I'll look for Alex Ovechkin to have a big night, Holtby to produce quite possibly a shutout, and the Capitals to make it 12 in a row against Boston.

Let's back Seton Hall as they host Creighton, who may enter conference play on a 5 game winning streak, but don't kid yourself...Greg McDermott’s squad hasn’t been truly tested on the road this season. They come in with a 10-2 record, with just one road win. In fact, they are 1-2 in road (or neutral site) games.
Bottom Line: Seton Hall is the more solid overall team, and road wins aren’t Creighton's thing. The senior players on Seton Hall are battle-tested throughout the years and battle-ready for this one.
I Look for Delgado to dominate the paint, while Carrington, Rodriguez, and sophomore Myles Powell cause plenty of problems for those Creighton guards.
Pirates win and cover.

Your Thursday freebie is the Wolves to howl loud in Milwaukee tonight.
Minnesota is your Northwest Division leader at 22-13. They come to Wisconsin tonight off a home overtime win against Denver last night. That win was Minny's 5th straight, with covers in 3 of their last 4 wins.
Yes, always tough going back-to-back in the Association, but with Milwaukee in a bit of a tailspin - Bucks have lost their last pair and 6 of their last 8 overall, and they are just 2-5-1 against the spread in those games - suggest pocketing a few points in this spot with the surging T-Wolves.
Minnesota is just 1-5 both straight up and against the spread the last 6 series meetings, but as Bob Dylan once sang, "the times they are-a-changing!"
Timberwolves look to be for real this season, take them tonight.
