Villanova beat St. Johns, 78-71, in Madison Square Garden, just over 3 weeks ago. The Wildcats dominated the boards and outshot the Red Strom from beyond the arc, 43.3% to 8.3% (13-30/1-12). St. Johns lost 11 in a row SU before a huge, 81-77 outright win over Duke, in their last contest, as a 10.5 pt. underdog. So this matchup, against a #1 ranked Villanova team, that hasn't dropped a game since December, is a sure "let-down" situation. Villanova's offense ranks a Top-10 in scoring (88.4 PPG), FG% (51.0%), and 3-pt.% (41.8%). SJU is in over their heads here as the Red Storm are 4-9 ATS their L13 games played on the road, 0-4 ATS their L4 games played vs. the Big East, and 1-4 ATS their L5 games played overall. Kansas State vs. Texas

I'm recommending a play on Texas minus the points on Wednesday. Kansas State was one of the better shooting teams in the country earlier in the season, but apparently teams have learned how to defend the Wildcats, who have a .333 field goal percentage their last three games and all of which were losses. The Wildcats got demolished at West Virginia 89-51 on Saturday while making just 14 of 47 from the floor and they haven't scored more than 54 points their last three games. That doesn't bode well against Texas, which holds opponents to a .397 shooting percentage at home and has won three of its last four games with the loss being in overtime at Texas Tech. The Longhorns come off a 79-74 win over Oklahoma holding the Sooners to 3 of 22 from 3-point range. Matt Coleman led the Longhorns with 22 points and Mohamed Bamba added 13 points and nine rebounds. Texas is 5-0 ATS its last five home games and 6-1 ATS its last seven conference games. Kansas State is 3-8 ATS after an ATS loss. We expect more of the same.
