NCAA-B | Butler vs Marquette
Play on: Marquette -3 -110 at 5Dimes

Marquette -3

This play just missed out on our premium card. The Marquette Golden Eagles and the Butler Bulldogs face off on Wednesday night, and in this game the home team has the value.

The Bulldogs are a good team, but they haven't been great away from home this year. They are currently 2-4 away from home, and 1-4 ATS.

The biggest difference for the Bulldogs have been on the defensive side of the floor. They are giving up 79.3 points per game away from home.

That isn't good when you are facing a Marquette team that is averaging 81.3 points per game at home.

The Golden Eagles offense will be the difference in this game.

Back the Golden Eagles.

NBA | Hornets vs Hawks
Play on: Hawks +2½ -105 at Bovada

1* Free Play Atlanta Hawks (7:30 EST).

Charlotte enters off a 105-96 road loss to Indiana on Monday, its second straight setback. Atlanta though finally comes in with some momentum, snapping a three-game skid with a 105-100 win at home over Minnesota on Monday.

To say this is a “revenge” game would be a bit of an understatement, as Charlotte was won five of six, including two straight. And that includes a 121-110 home win in the last matchup on January 26th.

The Hornets average 105.4 PPG and they concede 105.5. Kemba Walker leads the nightly charge wit 22.1 points and 5.8 assists per game, while big man Dwight Howard adds 15.9 points and 12.7 boards per outing.

The Hawks average 103.5 PPG and they concede 108. Dennis Schroeder leads the nightly charge with 19.8 points and 6.5 assists per game. In its latest win Atlanta would go on to shoot 49.4 percent from the floor.

I’ll point out that Charlotte’s struggled for the most part in this spot for bettors this year, going just 7-11 ATS on the road. Conversely, if there’s been one area in which ATL has done decently in this year, it’s been it’s play at home, so far 14-12 ATS thus far.

The Hawks have actually dropped both contests to the Hornets this year, but the tables would now seemingly be turned. While I obviously wouldn’t be shocked by an outright upset, in a contest which I see being decided by whichever team has its hands on the ball last, I’ll recommend grabbing as many points as you can. Consider a second look at Atlanta in this one.

Good luck…Larry

NBA | Knicks vs Celtics
Play on: UNDER 208 -105

Free pick on Knicks/Celtics UNDER

I think the books have set the total too high for Wednesday's Atlantic Division clash that has the Knicks visiting the Celtics. Boston should be able to control the tempo on their home floor and it's hard seeing them trying to push the pace. Keep in mind this is a team that ranks just 22nd in pace on the season. The Celtics were gassed at the end of their 4-game road trip that concluded in Denver on Monday. I think there's a good chance they come out flat here offensively.

Defensively the Celtics are a team that executes at a very high level, regardless of who is on the court. They are giving up 98.8 ppg and holding teams roughly 8 points under their season average. The Knicks are scoring a mere 102.7 ppg on the road.

Both teams also have also been really strong defensively in division games. New York is only giving up 100.4 ppg to their Atlantic rivals and the Celtics are holding division foes to just 95.8 ppg. Under is 9-3 in Boston's last 12 division games, 7-1 in their last 8 vs a team with a losing record and 12-3-1 in their last 16 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days. Take the UNDER!

NBA | 76ers vs Nets
Play on: 76ers -6½ -110 at 5Dimes

Play - Philadelphia (Game 705).

Edges - Sixers: 4-1 ATS versus unrested division opponents… Nets: 1-9 ATS with non-rest in division games… With the 76ers in off a 12-point loss and the Nets in off a same season triple revenge affair against cross-town rival New York, we recommend a 1* play on Philadelphia. Thank you and good luck as always.

NCAA-B | St Bonaventure vs George Mason
Play on: George Mason +7½ -105 at 5Dimes

St. Bonaventure is coming off a pair of wins to get back to .500 in the Atlantic Ten Conference with a 4-4 record and now it hits the road where the struggles have taken place. The home team is 8-0 in all the Bonnies conference games this season as they have dropped all four road games, three of which have come by double-digits. Granted, all those games came against teams ranked higher than the Patriots, but the line is taking that into consideration and it is to much of an adjustment. St. Bonaventure was favored twice in the four road games, but the highest line was three points and now they are laying over twice as much as that. George Mason has lost three straight games, the first two coming on the road and the most recent game at home against VCU. The Patriots had won three of its previous four games including two of three at home where they are 7-5 on the season. They have struggled against the better teams for obvious reasons, but the value is on their side here as this is the biggest number George Mason has seen at home against a-10 foes. The Bonnies are 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games following an ATS win. Play (730) George Mason Patriots

NCAA-B | Missouri vs Alabama
Play on: Alabama -5½ -105 at betonline

I'm recommending a play on Alabama minus the points on Wednesday. Alabama is 10-1 at home this season and 9-2 ATS its last 11 conference games and the Crimson Tide has beaten Missouri five times in a row. Alabama has a roster with talented freshmen and sophomores, who have improved as the season went on as the Tide has won five of its last six games, including 80-73 over Oklahoma on Saturday when it shot 55.6 percent and held the Sooners to 40.8 percent. Alabama has a .508 field goal percentage at home compared to Missouri's .404 on the road. Also, Alabama holds opponents to just 38.9 percent shooting at home. The Tigers have lost four of their last five games and are 0-3 ATS their last three, including Saturday's 74-62 loss at Mississippi State. Forward Michael Porter Jr. is out for the season with a back injury and guard Terrence Phillips is suspended. The Crimson Tide has covered five straight home contests and we'll back them here. We're recommending a play on Alabama minus the points. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

NCAA-B | Indiana State vs Valparaiso
Play on: UNDER 145 -110

Indiana State vs Valparaiso Free Pick January 31, 2018

The Valparaiso Crusaders have been having a rough first season in the Missouri Valley Conference. They come into tonight's home game versus Indiana State as losers of five straight. They have failed to reach the total in four of their last six overall, and even the two games that went over didn't see as many points as tonight's total. In fact, tonight's number is as high as it has been in any of Valparaiso's last 10 games. The Crusaders have only scored an average of 66.8 points per game at home, and have averaged less than that over their last five overall. This team is nowhere near as talented as the team that finished first in the Horizon League last year, but they are still pretty solid defensively, especially at home. They have failed to reach the total in 13 of their last 18 overall, and the under is 10-4 in their last 14 when coming off a loss. The Sycamores won at home by a score of 73-64 when these teams met back in December, and I see no reason why tonight's total is five points higher than it was in that game. This number appears to be a little inflated.

Take UNDER.

GL,

Jesse Schule

NCAA-B | Louisville vs Virginia
Play on: Louisville +9½ -101 at 5Dimes

This game features the 16-5 Louisville Cardinals at the 20-1 Virginia Cavaliers. Cavs are riding high with a road win against their hated rival #4 Duke I expect a letdown tonight against a weaker Louisville team. Virginia has cashed 5 straight ATS and has been a money machine for bettors I think the books caught up to them with this high number. Take Louisville plus the points for a 15* winner. BE SURE TO GRAB CHASE DIAMOND'S NFL SUPER BOWL WINNER CHASE IS #2 IN EARNINGS IN THE NFL AND HAS HIT A STAGGERING 60% IN THE NFL ALL YEAR

They held on against a blossoming St. Joe's team last week at home in a non-cover, then followed over the weekend with a blowout home win over George Washington. Now at 14-6, but still very much on the wrong side of the Big Dance cut-line, expect the Bonnies to make the most of this stop at George Mason on Wednesday night.

The Patriots have dropped 3 in a row both straight up and against the spread, their last being an 8-point home setback to VCU as George Mason dropped to just 2-6 against the spread on their home floor this season.

Since becoming members of the Atlantic Ten, George Mason has had no success in this matchup, as St. Bonaventure has won and covered ALL 4 series meetings. That includes a pair of double-digit wins in Fairfax against the Patriots.

With the Bonnies averaging almost 5 points per game more than the Patriots, and holding opponents to a solid 8 points per game less on defense, this one shapes up to be another series win and cover (5th in a row!) for St. Bonaventure.

No more "wiggle room" for the visitors who wish to go dancing in March.

Lay the road wood.

1* ST. BONAVENTURE

Wednesday comp play is the Cyclones at home plus the points against the Mountaineers.

Both Iowa State and West Virginia are slumping right now, as the Cyclones enter having dropped their last pair and 7 of their last 9 overall, while the Mounties are on a 1-4 slide of their own that saw them blow a 15-point home lead on Saturday night against Kentucky.

I have a feeling Bob Huggins' team is going to have a hard time getting back up off the floor after that collapse, and while they should have enough to get the outright win, I don't think they are covering this big road impost.

West Virginia saw their 4-game series win and cover streak come to an end the last time these teams met last March in the Big Twelve conference tournament. The teams have split the last 4 series meetings in Ames, so look for this one to be a little closer than expected, especially since the Mounties do not seem to have reliable enough scoring pop to pull away from anyone right now.

Comp play Iowa State.

3* IOWA STATE
