Preseason Betting Preview: Jets at Ravens
The New York Jets head to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night at 8:00PM ET on ESPN.
The Jets dropped their preseason opener at home to the St. Louis Rams, but they were encouraged with the performance of rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez, who completed three of his four pass attempts for 88 yards. Fellow rookie Shonn Greene also rushed for 45 yards on nine carries and broke off a 34-yard run.
Baltimore had more success in their opener, trouncing the Washington Redskins 23-0 at home. Backup quarterback Troy Smith had a fantastic game, completing 14-of-30 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown. Willis McGahee also looked sharp, rushing for 26 yards on only four carries.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made the Ravens 3-point home favorites over the Jets. The over/under total for this game has also been set at 33.
The trends favor the Jets and the under in this matchup, as New York is 11-1 against the spread on the road if the total is 35 or less. Baltimore is also 11-2 under as a home favorite of 3 points or less.
