Reports: Bears send RB Jones to Jets
FOXSports.com

With Curtis Martin expected to retire, the New York Jets needed a new stalwart in the backfield. On Monday, they filled that void.

The Chicago Bears reached a preliminary agreement to trade running back Thomas Jones to the Jets for a second-round draft pick, according to multiple reports.

The Jets will surrender their 37th overall pick for Jones, who rushed for 1,210 yards and six touchdowns in the Bears' run to the Super Bowl last season.

Jones, 28, must pass a physical before the deal is complete. The Jets also would receive Chicago's second-round pick, No. 63 overall.

I heard Jones was looking to get out but I still can't believe the Bears let him go. Next Briggs is set to leave, this really sucks as a Bears fan.
