Saints release WR Horn
New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Saints released veteran wide receiver and four-time Pro Bowl selection Joe Horn on Thursday.
The decision came after Horn reportedly met with the organization regarding a restructure and reduction of his contract.
The 35-year-old Horn joined the Saints as a free agent in 2000 and has racked up 7,622 receiving yards on 523 catches with a team-record 50 touchdowns. He ranks second in team history in receptions and yardage and is the club's all- time leader with 27 100-yard receiving games.
Horn, who started 100 of 102 games in New Orleans, finished the 2006 campaign with 37 catches for 679 yards and four TDs.
