Drew Gordon
Afternoon College Winner...

Nevada- Two words: Colin Kaepernick. Since taking over the Wolfpack offense, the freshman signal caller has been outstanding. He's coming off an incredible effort against the WAC's best defense, Boise State, throwing for 243 yards and 3 TDs, while also running for 177 and 2 more TDs... Imagine what he can do against one of the WAC's worst defenses!
True, both defenses featured in this game are terrible, but only Nevada has the offensive firepower to truly take advantage. The Aggies are averaging only 18 ppg, and have been less than impressive in their two home games this season, losing to UNLV and San Jose State!
Granted, there's the issue that Nevada is coming off a short week, while Utah State has had two weeks to prepare, but I wouldn't get too carried away with that fact. Nevada is not only 7-1 ATS over their last 8 road games, but also 9-2 ATS over their last 11 conference games. While the Aggies are only 3-7-1 ATS over their last 11 overall.
Make no mistake, Utah State will be prepared for this contest with the extra practice time, but that still doesn't make up for their deficiencies on defense, or their inability to keep pace with a much better Wolf Pack offense. QB Kaepernick will have another excellent effort as he leads his team to the solid road win and cover.
Take Nevada comfortably over Utah State in this afternoon WAC showdown.
