"2 UNIT" PRIMETIME INTANGIBLE (Nevada +10 at home against Texas Tech in a 9:05 eastern kickoff): It is too bad that this game is not on National TV because we would have had a similar situation as during the week when both Vanderbilt and Ball State thrived in front of their own fans with ESPN cameras in attendance. Even though ESPN is not around for this particular contest, the bottom line is that tonight marks the FIRST TIME EVER that Nevada has played host to a school from the Big 12 Conference, so this IS a very big deal to the Wolfpack. We saw a pattern last weekend when most Big 12 conference teams opened up against "cupcakes" and Texas Tech was no different in what turned out to be a a 49-24 home victory against an Eastern Washington squad that had to travel a long way and was looking for a big paycheck. As always Texas Tech has a high-octane offensive attack led by Graham Harrell, but they better not let their emotional guard down against a Nevada team that is desperately attempting to become one of the elite teams in the Western Athletic Conference. The Wolfpack returned EIGHT starters for one of the WAC's most prolific offenses that led the conference in rushing and was second in total offense. Now SENIOR taiback Luke Lippincott was the only rusher in the WAC Conference to average at least 100 yards per game. This season Lippincott gets to run behind FOUR veteran offensive linemen. I also like what Nevada has on special teams with SENIOR kicker Brett Jaekle. Head coach Chris Ault is entering year #24 at the helm of the Wolfpack and he is an UNDEFEATED 7-0 ATS/HOME after a game where his team allowed less than 100 total rushing yards. Nevada is an outstanding 15-4 ATS/HOME with Ault as head coach when playing on a SATURDAY. After tonight the Wolfpack will play 5 of 7 games on the road including 3 in a row. That means tonight's HOME game is huge for Nevada who will have a big crowd supporting them
