It was only a matter of time...you knew it had to happen....that Merriman was going to be sidelined one way or the other! He fianlly made the decision today to have the operation that only 4 doctors recommended, and called it quits for the year.
Having watched the whole Charger game last Sunday, you could just see that Merriman just wan't getting the "charge" that he normally displayed, and at least on one pass rush, I thought he season was coming to an end on that play, but thankfully I was wrong and he got right up.
He's finally making the smart decision, as the Chargers are loaded top to bottom with good replacements, and just could make their run for the Super Bowl.
He should of called it a day even before the season started. I can't belive he would risk it. So foolish
How much did he play in the game Sunday? I didn't get a chance to watch it.
