MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -Miami Beach police are awaiting the toxicology report for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth before releasing information into his car accident that killed a pedestrian.
Police spokesman Juan Sanchez said Monday that the routine blood work had not made it to the lab yet. Sanchez said results are expected to be released by the end of the week.
Authorities said Stallworth was headed toward the beach when he hit 59-year-old Mario Reyes with his Bentley on Saturday morning on a busy causeway linking Miami and Miami Beach.
Stallworth was cooperating with police and no charges have been filed. A message seeking comment was left on the voicemail of his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

Stallworth to get DUI manslaughter charge

MIAMI (AP) - Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth will be charged with DUI manslaughter after a Miami car crash that killed a pedestrian, according to people familiar with the case.

Two people with knowledge of the case said on condition of anonymity the charges will be filed Wednesday against the 28-year-old Stallworth in the March 14 accident that killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes. They requested anonymity because the charges haven't been announced.

The charge carries a possible 15-year prison sentence.

Stallworth earlier released a statement saying he was "grief-stricken" over the accident.

Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns before last season but was injured much of the year. He previously played for New England, Philadelphia and New Orleans.

MIAMI (AP) -Attorneys say Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth has agreed to plead guilty to a DUI manslaughter charge in Florida and will likely serve some time in jail.
The 28-year-old player is accused of striking and killing a pedestrian with his Bentley on his way back from a night out in Miami Beach in March.
Stallworth is scheduled to enter the plea Tuesday morning in a Miami courtroom.
Prosecutors' spokeswoman Terry Chavez says he will likely do some jail time, followed by lengthy probation and numerous conditions. He could have faced up 15 years in prison.
Chavez says the family of 59-year-old victim Mario Reyes wanted to resolve the case.
