New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

Prediction: 4* New England Patriots -6.5

The Seattle Seahawks play host to the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon in Seattle. The Seahawks have struggled this season as their 2-10 mark shows. They are 1-5 at home this season, 1-4-1 ATS. Now the Patriots come in and they are off a tough home loss to Pittsburgh. The Patriots have yet to lose two games in a row.

Prior to that loss against the Steelers’ top-ranked defensive unit, the Patriots had put up 511 and 530 yards, respectively, against the Jets and Dolphins. Bill Belichick’s troops will find Seattle’s defense much more to their liking than Pittsburgh’s.

Matt Cassel has played surprisingly well and surprised a lot of people this season. Randy Moss has once again become dangerous thanks to Cassel’s improvement. We expect an all-out effort from this Patriots team on Sunday.

Seattle’s defense has struggled this season because they do not have the ability to rush the passer without using blitz packages and when they do this it exposes their very weak secondary. The Seahawks rank at the bottom of the league in pass defense. Patrick Kerney who shares the sack lead for Seattle is out for the season which is another strike against the Seahawks defense.

On the offensive side of the ball the Seahawks are just as bad failing to gain three hundred yards in eight of their last nine games. Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck is still not 100% suffering from both back and knee problems this year. They have no go to guy in the passing game and their running attack is split between Julius Jones and Maurice Morris with very limited success.

The Patriots are 17-4 ATS when facing a team that has averaged fewer than 275 yards offense per game season-to-date. The Patriots are 14-2 ATS on the road when their opponent's season-to-date average pass attempts per game is fewer than 30. The Patriots are 15-4 ATS as a favorite when facing a team that has averaged fewer than 275 yards offense per game season-to-date. The Patriots are 34-14-1 ATS on the road. The Patriots are 16-1 ATS after a straight up loss. The Patriots are 10-0 ATS on the road after a straight up loss. The Patriots are 10-0 ATS on the road when on a 1 game SU and ATS losing streak. The Patriots are 8-0-1 ATS when they lost by 21+ points last week. The Seahawks are 3-15 ATS at home when facing a team that has averaged fewer than four punts per game season-to-date.

NFL teams are 24-6 ATS as a road favorite after a straight up loss at home as a favorite. NFL teams are 46-25-3 ATS as a favorite when on a 1 game SU and ATS losing streak. NFL teams are 32-17-1 ATS as a favorite when they suffered a 10+ point ATS loss last week. NFL teams are 12-5-1 ATS as a road favorite when they lost last week while suffering a turnover margin of at least +2 at home as a favorite

Lay the chalk with the Patriots as they put another “L” on the Towel Tossing Seattle Seahawks on Sunday!

GRADED PREDICTION: 4*New England Patriots -6.5

NFL Football
Jaguars +6.5 over Bears
The Jags have a huge offensive line and huge wide receivers going against a injured Bears defensive line. Jacksonville has hit rock bottom after their MNF loss, but this team still has a ton of talent and will be looking to knock teams out of the playoff hunt. On defense Jacksonville has the size advantage against the Bears. Chicago will be without their starting fullback tonight which will hurt the running game. Look for the Jags to get the possible upset. Take Jacksonville.

Browns/Titans Over 37
The Titans should have no problem moving the ball today against a very bad Browns defense. The front three for Cleveland is hurting and the cornerbacks are very small compared to the Titans receivers. Tennessee has looked great this season, but they have a soft schedule and are really thin at the cornerback position. The Browns will start Ken Dorsey at QB today. Dorsey has started in this league and has the offensive players to put up points. Look for Jamaal Lewis to have a decent day running which will allow Dorsey to work against a weak cornerback unit. This total is very low for the conditions. Take the Over.

Saints -3 over Falcons
The NFC South home teams are 22-2 this season. I feel bad for the defenses today because both QB's are awesome. Atlanta has a young defense which is banged up coming into today and still as good as Matt Ryan is he still is a rookie QB playing on the road. Drew Brees has too many weapons at home to be stopped today. The Saints maybe to late to make the playoffs, but they would love nothing more to beat their division rivals to knock them out. Look for the Saints to win behind a big offensive performance from Brees. Take New Orleans.

Ravens -5.5 over Redskins
Baltimore is looking to make the playoffs behind rookie QB Joe Flacco. The Redskins would need a miracle to make the playoffs and the way their offense is playing I don't think its possible. This Baltimore team will be licking their chops against a very banged up Redskins defense. Five of the Redskins front seven on defense are hurt which will help this already efficient Ravens offense. Baltimore does not allow 100 yard per game rushers and Portis has never had success against them. I do not see Jason Campbell taking over this game on the road. Ray Lewis will fire this defense up and the Ravens behind their home fans should get a big win.

NBA Basketball

Every time you hit refresh or open a new page you make a new request on the server and with hundreds of people hitting refresh every ten seconds it bogs down the server which takes the site down.People just need to understand that a new play isn't going to show up every time they hit refresh and if that's what they want and need then our site isn't for them sorry to say but it's the truth.

BIG AL

At 6:05 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Pacers plus the points over Boston. Indiana has been installed as a big home dog, and it's tough to turn down this amount of points, as Indiana has already defeated these Celtics at home this year (95-79 on Nov 1), along with the Lakers (118-117 on Dec 2) and Atlanta (113-96 on Nov 18). Indeed, the Pacers have only lost one of their nine home games this season by more than seven points: their 113-103 defeat by Phoenix on Nov 5. The Pacers are off back-to-back losses, including a 114-96 setback at Boston four days ago. But Indy is a terrific 85-41 ATS since 1990 off a loss when playing with rest at home with revenge vs. a foe off a win. And if Indy's opponent is off back-to-back SU/ATS wins, then our 85-41 stat zooms to 28-8 ATS. Take the Pacers.

At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the Washington Redskins plus the points over Baltimore. For the most part, Baltimore has beaten up on bad teams this season, and lost to the better teams. The Ravens' eight wins have come against Cincy (twice), Cleveland (twice), Houston, Oakland, Miami and Philly. At this point, none of those clubs are playoff teams. Granted, neither is Washington, but the point remains that Baltimore hasn't defeated one of the top teams this season. Its four losses this year have come against the Steelers, Giants, Colts, and Tennessee, and each of those four teams would be in the playoffs. Four of Washington's five losses have been to playoff clubs (two to the Giants, and one loss to Pitt and Dallas). Washington's lone defeat to a non-playoff team was against St. Louis, and that was a fluke, as Washington outgained the Rams 368 to 200, yet three turnovers did in Washington. Two of the Redskins' seven wins came against clubs like Dallas and Arizona, so Jim Zorn's men have been able to step it up vs. the better competition. Baltimore's last two wins were against Philly (36-7) and Cincy (34-3). On the surface, holding one's opponents to less than 10 points seems impressive (and it is), but unfortunately for Baltimore, it's been a long-term negative indicator for success in a team's next game, as such clubs are a terrible 48-106 ATS if they also scored 17+ in their most recent win, and are priced from -11 to +4.5 points. Sunday Night Game of the Month on Washington.

At 4:15 pm, our selection is on the Pittsburgh Steelers minus the points over Dallas. Last week, both the Cowboys and Steelers won blowouts: Pitt went into New England and defeated Bill Belichick's Patriots 33-10, while Dallas won 34-9 at home on Thanksgiving vs. Seattle. But Dallas' competition will be much stronger this afternoon, and the Cowboys may also have to battle the elements, as there could be snow covering the grass at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh's defense is playing at a championship level this season. It has 42 sacks (#1 in the NFL), and is on pace to break the franchise record of 55 set in 1994 and tied in 2001. Pittsburgh's James Harrison leads the league in forced fumbles (6), and the team leads the league in scoring defense (14.2 ppg), rushing defense (71.2 ypg), passing defense (166.8 ypg), and, of course, total defense (238 ypg). Mike Tomlin's men will get cornerback Bryant McFadden back (though he might not start), while Dallas will miss #1 running back Marion Barber, who injured his toe against Seattle. In his stead will be ex-Georgia Tech RB Tashard Choice. That trade-off at running back will hamper Dallas' chances. Also, it's worth noting that, since December 2005, NFL teams off a 23-point (or greater) win, are a dismal 1-19 ATS on the road vs. foes off a win, if our road team is NOT getting more than 5 points. NFL Roadkill on Pittsburgh.

At 4:15 pm, our selection is on the Arizona Cards and St Louis Rams 'under' the total. This play is purely technical in nature, as it is motivated by Arizona's last few scores. The Cards have combined with their opponents to score 46+ points in each of their last nine games, but now fall into a system of mine which has generated 116 'unders' and 67 'overs' since 1980. Arizona generally likes to throw the ball, but the Rams are an attractive opponent against which to run the football. In the teams' first meeting, Arizona's Tim Hightower gained 109 yards on 22 carries, and St. Louis coach Jim Haslett acknowledged that he feels the Cardinals will once again try to attack St. Louis via the ground game. I also expect the Rams' offense to focus on its rushing attack, and get running back Steven Jackson much more involved this week -- his 2nd game since returning from a thigh injury. Look for a low-scoring game today. NFL Total of the Year on the 'under'
