Stephen Nover

NFL Side
Double-Dime bet ATL 4.5 (-110) vsCAR

Analysis: As bad as Atlanta and Joey Harrington are, they are a bargain getting more than a field goal against Carolina. The Panthers are 2-10-1 against the spread in their last 13 home games.

This isn't a strong Panthers squad to start with and they sure can't be laying these kind of points considering their quarterback situation. This is John Fox's choice: undrafted rookie Matt Moore, who isn't ready for the NFL yet. Or injured Vinny Testaverde.

Testaverde is 44 and bothered by an Achilles' heal injury that affects is already limited mobility. Neither choice is attractive. But that's what the Panthers are up against without injured Jake Delhomme and David Carr.

The Panthers have been terrible at home, losing five straight. They've been outscored, 149-51, at home during this time frame. Carolina is 1-8 against the spread in its past nine games on grass.

Atlanta could have won the first meeting between the two clubs if cornerback DeAngelo Hall didn't lose his cool against Steve Smith. Because of poor quarterback play, Smith has been held to 47 yards or fewer in five of his last six games.

The Falcons are expected to get back tight end Alge Crumpler, who is a huge part of their offense.

Greg Shaker

NFL Total
Triple-Dime bet BAL / 223 CIN Under 44.5

Analysis: NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens - Under 44.5 -110 | Unit Value: 3 DIME "Total of the Month)
Game Date: 11/12/2007
Note: I learned a couple of things on the Monday Nite Contest. The Steelers are going to be very tough to beat at their stadium this year and the Ravens have very serious QB Issues. They do have a game this week that they need to win badly and that usually means great D from what is the 3rd best in the league. That is even more impressive when you consider that they are forced to be on the field quite a bit due to the offensive woes that they have. While McNair will not get quite the same amount of pressure this week from the Bengals, he does not have the mobility that he used to have and reminds me of Joe Nameth and Ken Stabler in their final days of their career. He does not, nor has he ever, reminded me of those guys at his peak however. The Ravens have played their best D while at home this year, allowing just 13 per game to the opposition and all games played at this park have averaged just 35 points. It is not often that we see a total so high for a Baltimore game and the line has actually drifted upward from an opening of 43 earlier in the week. Billick is basically a conservative head coach and he does know what he has to work with. The Ravens can run the ball with some effectiveness and they will have a team in town that can be run on, as they rank near the bottom of the NFL in that department. Neither one of these squads are going anywhere this year to the best of my estimation but there will be some intensity on the field Sunday due to the fact that these division rivals both need a win. Last year's game here in Maryland saw a 20 point effort and a 13-7 Bengal win. That is the sort of game I am expecting again, although the home team will probably win this one. This is the largest total for a Raven Contest that I have seen in a very long time and certainly the highest this year by far. I will play this one with extreme confidence.

Triple-Dime bet NYG 2.5 (-110) vs DAL

Analysis: Both of these teams met in a high-flying contest that saw the Cowboys outscore the Giants on the first NBC game of the year. I fully anticipate that the New York Giants will be ready to roll coming off a bye week, after traveling over to London in a less than spirited football game.

The New York Giants will establish a physical running game against Dallas, before utilizing quarterback Eli Manning in play action situations. Manning is one of the best signal callers when playing off a strong running game.

New York has won four of the last six meetings overall and have tallied a PERFECT 4-0 ATS record at home. Actually the home team is an incredible 11-5-2 in the last 18 meetings.

Watch the Giants' defense pressure Dallas QB Tony Romo into making mistakes and the NFC East gets blown wide open on Sunday afternoon

Marco D'Angelo

NFL Total

dime bet PIT / CLE Under 47.0
Analysis: On paper one would think that this one is going Over but that won't be the case. The Steelers will come out and pound the ball right down the throats of Cleveland. Cleveland can't stop anyone and Pittsburgh will enjoy long time consuming drives. Don't forget about the Steeler defense which has been so dominating at home. Take PITTS/CLEVE UNDER as MARCO'S NFL TOTAL GAME OF THE WEEK and make them a SINGLE DIME PLAY.

Bob Balfe

NFL Football

Miami +2.5 over Buffalo
You take an opening line of 3 and push it to 2.5 to get all of the world on Buffalo. The Bills still are a bad football team statistically and their young offense will struggle against a veteran Dolphins defense. Miami probably isn't going to get a lot more wins this season so they will need to seize the opportunity in games like this. Take Miami.

Browns +10 over Steelers
The Steelers have own the Browns, but this Cleveland team has attitude and a great offense. Pittsburgh is on a short week after crushing the Ravens on MNF. This is a big rival game, but Cleveland is the team that is hungry for a win in this series. Pittsburgh probably wins this game, but this line is set too high.

Chargers +3.5 over Colts
The whole world saw the Colts pretty much blow the game against the Patriots last weekend and now are thinking they go in and blowout a Chargers team that just gave up 300 yards to Peterson and the Vikings last week. The linemakers put a hook on this line just to give themselves a better chance of the dog covering. Last Sunday and Monday the books got crushed in the night games and lost all of the money they made on the Colts/Pats Game. Manning will have Harrison and Gonzalez out of the line up. Look for LT to run wild.

Arizona -1 over Lions
The Cardinals finally get back home after a tough road trip in which they could have won both games. Both teams are mirror images of each other with great young talent. I cant get over that in the Lions two road games this year they were just crushed by Philly and Washington both teams that don't have great offenses. Imagine what kind of numbers AZ will put up today.
