Thursday Night Football Week 3 Redskins vs. Giants Picks & Predictions
By ATSSportsline.com
NFC East rivals clash on Thursday Night Football tonight when the Giants host the Redskins at 8:25PM ET.
New York is still searching for its first win of the season after blowing fourth quarter leads in each of its first two games. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Giants are 3.5-point favorites over the Redskins, who upset the Rams 24-10 as a 3-point home underdog in Week 2. The total for tonight's game is sitting at 44 points.
There hasn't been a ton of line movement in this game but the side did drop from 4 down to 3.5, while the total has stayed at 44 after opening at that same number earlier in the week. The Redskins have played under the total twice while the Giants went over once (in their 27-26 loss to Dallas in Week 1) and under once (24-20 loss to Atlanta in Week 2).
Last year, the Giants won this game, 24-13 at home. Washington has a ball-control offense that takes very little chances. But that offense, led by runners Matt Jones and Alfred Morris, has allowed them to start the season at 1-1. The Giants will meet a strong run defense, so they'll have to pass. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is good but he needs Victor Cruz (calf) to be healthy. Washington will bracket him with a safety and take their chances with Reuben Randle.
