BLANK CHECK DALLAS COWBOYS
I see the line on this game is pretty much -12-1/2 everywhere. I will leave it up to you to buy the 1/2-point down and lay only -12 points. I know some handicappers just do this on 3's,7's and 10's. But with a game of this magnitude, and backdoor covers prevalent in the NFL this season, I personally will not get beat by the hook in the event of a 12-point game.
It's been automatic the past several years on Thanksgiving, with these Pokes. They've won three of their last four on Turkey Day, hunting down the Bears in 2004, making the Buccaneers walk the plank in 2006 and grounding the Jets last season.
And since the offense has seemingly come to life with Tony Romo back under center, Terrell Owens obvisouly happy based on his performance last week, Marion Barber plowing through lines and the defense shoring things up a bit. Anyway who saw last week's game witnessed Romo and Owens' huge day against San Fran while Barber rushed 19 times. And against a porous run defense, Barber will have plenty of running room to help create the play action, and soften an already weak defensive line.
And lets be real, this Seattle team would be winless if the Rams didn't have a bozo for a coach earlier this season, and if the Niners weren't in a coaching transition when those two met in Week 8. Today, I doubt the 'Hawks could possibly get into the end zone, as Dallas' defense has been on a roll, particularly nose tackle Jay Ratliff, who has forced offensive lines to adjust. And Seattle is in no position to readjust an already screwed up line.
Dallas has covered 9 of it last 11 in November, and quite frankly, other than the infamous Leon Lett debacle, all I can think about are some of the greatest games in Cowboys history that have taken place on Thanksgiving Day. It's hard to imagine this game going in the opposite direction, I mean, seriously. This has the makings of a 42-3 final.
Seattle, at 2-9, is awful, the Cowboys are in need of a perfect performance and blowout win and there is no better stage than Thanksgiving Day for Dallas to roast a Seahawk.
Lay the long chalk in this one.
