This is tomorrows DOUBLE YOUR WAGER GOY! Public is pounding the UNDER, I wanted to get this out early to make you think twice about that move. Line may drop by gametime with almost 80% on the UNDER! This game will go over the mark!

Michael Cannon Money Train Goes 1-0 on Wednesday, Up 15 Dimes
Thursday's Plays...

10 Dime –

ROCKIES
Take the Rockies for the win in Game 1 of the NLCS.
Of course everyone knows how hot the Rockies have been down the stretch, winning 16 of their last 17 games. Until this team shows me anything different I’ve got to keep riding them, especially at a plus return.
Brandon Webb will start for the Diamondbacks and despite his lofty status as the ace of the staff, he’s been rather ordinary against Colorado this year.
Webb went 1-3 with a 5.77 ERA against the Rockies this year and Arizona finished with an 8-10 mark against their division rivals.
The Diamondbacks struggled against the Rockies’ pitching staff, hitting only .248 as a team with 3.9 runs per game.
The Rockies will counter with Jeff Francis who won 17 games during the regular season. The left-hander went 1-1 with a 2.84 ERA in three games against Arizona this year and is a stellar 7-2 with a 3.54 ERA in 14 career games against the Snakes.
Colorado has the better hitting lineup and is coming into this series on a tremendous roll, so take the Rockies as the road dog for the win in Game 1 of the NLCS.

5 Dime –

WAKE FOREST
Take the points with Wake Forest tonight when they host Florida State.
I know this is a major revenge spot for the Seminoles, as they were bludgeoned by the Demon Deacons 30-0 last year in Tallahassee. That was the first time in coach Bobby Bowden’s 31 seasons that Florida State was shutout at home.
Despite all their talk about payback, I don’t think the Seminoles have the makeup to cover his number on the road.
Bowden has turned his offense over to QB Xavier Lee and although he’s looked good so far, tonight he’ll face an opportunistic Wake Forest defense that thrives on forcing turnovers.
Wake has returned interceptions for touchdowns in its last three games, and in last year’s matchup picked off four passes, returning one for a score.
The key to Wake keeping this game close will be the play of quarterback Riley Skinner, who is going through somewhat of a sophomore slump after a sensational freshman season. Skinner is completing over 70 percent of his passes, but is averaging just 135.2 ypg with two TDs and seven INTs.
If Skinner can raise his play tonight against the tough Seminole defense and Wake can find a way to get receiver Kenneth Moore free, the Demon Deacons have an excellent chance of not only keeping this game close but pulling off the win.
Wake Forest is on ATS runs of 7-2 in October and 9-2 against teams with a winning record.
Florida State is just 6-10 ATS in its last 16 regular-season games, including 2-7 ATS in ACC contests.
Wake has covered the number in three straight meetings against Florida State and is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine games with the Seminoles (3-1 ATS at home).
Take the points as Lee just doesn’t have enough experience to keep from throwing a killer pick or two which will allow Wake Forest to stay within the number.

At 8:30pm our NL Playoff Game of the Year is on the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Colorado Rockies. D-Backs righthanded ace Brandon Webb should know this team he is about to face in game 1 of the NLCS pretty well by now. Webb faced Colorado an amazing six times this season, and although Arizona only managed a 3-3 record in those games, four of them were played in April and May, before the Diamondbacks really got going. Webb has been one of the best pitchers in the Majors in the last three months of the season, and his team is playing its best ball by far right now. Of course almost the same thing can be said about the Rockies this season, however lefthanded starter Jeff Francis, unlike Webb, actually did his best pitching in the months of May and June and did not pitch as well down the stretch. Of course nobody can argue that the Rockies are the hottest team left in the baseball playoffs, but Francis is a high-ERA pitcher who needs a lot of run support, which he usually gets when he faces inferior pitching. But Webb is anything but inferior and he is the reigning Cy Young award winner. Colorado lost to Brandon Webb last month, and that is the only game the Rockies have lost among their last 18 games played. Another achilles heel for Francis is the fact that he is MUCH worse when he pitches at night than during the day. Check out these day/night stats: day games: 9-0 with a 2.53 ERA; night games: 9-9 with a 4.92 ERA. Of course this game will be played under the lights in the Arizona desert. The D-Backs are still scorching against lefties batting .341 in their last ten games. Take Arizona. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

Winning Points Online MLB pick of the day.

ARIZONA (Webb) -125 over COLORADO (Francis)

The Rockies come into the NLCS having won 17
of their last 18 ballgames, but that lone defeat
was at the hands of tonight's starter Brandon
Webb. The defending Cy Young champ had a
great follow-up season (+$390, 3.01 ERA in
34 starts) and looks to be an excellent value
at this price, despite Colorado's succcess in
head to head play with Arizona. The D'Backs
performed extremely well vs. lefthanders in
2007 (28-17, +$1195) so they have an edge
in a tight pitchers' duel vs. Jefff Francis. We
look for the home team to grab an early ad-
vantage in this best of seven showdown.

2-Unit Play. Take #951 Colorado (+115) over Arizona (8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11)
Jeff Francis has won two of his three starts against the Diamondbacks this season while Brandon Webb is just 1-3 with an ERA of nearly 6.00 this season against the Rockies, and is but 8-7 in his career against Colorado. Webb actually has an ERA of 4.15 in his last eight starts and the Rockies have been all over him.

1-Unit Play. Take ‘Under’ 7.5 Colorado at Arizona (8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11)
I think you can expect a lot of first-game jitters from these teams and I don’t expect the hitters to be as sharp after an extended layoff. Toss in a pair of aces and the fact that the ‘under’ is 8-4 in the last 12 meetings and I like it. Also, if there are more than 7.5 runs scored that likely means that Colorado won – which will cash our top bet and move us one step closer to our series win. If this game does stay ‘under’ it will be because B. Webb is unhittable. I hate playing a total without knowing who the umps are but I’ll make an exception here.

4-Unit Play. Series Play: Take Colorado (-130) over Arizona
The Rockies won the season series and I think they take this one as well. Colorado is 6-2 in the last eight meetings, including a 4-2 mark in their last two games in Arizona. That’s what this play comes down to: I feel more confident that the Rockies can win on the road than I do the Diamondbacks. Arizona has been the streakiest team in the league this year – by far. With that much volatility I think there’s a more value on the Rockies. I like their bullpen more, I like that they can throw a lot of lefties at Arizona, and I like their lineup a lot more. Toss in the home field advantage of Coors Field and I think that the Rockies will be marching on.
