Been posting these Thursday night plays here and so far perfect on them. Let's keep that figure rolling into tonight with another prime time winner!
Saints +3
After 2 consecutive losses at Soldier, the oddsmakers and most of the "experts" have counted out the Saints in this game. However, this will be a clear night in Chicago without the dramatic snow and rain effects we have seen in the past. All it will take is a one or two deep passes from Drew Brees and this game will be on ice.
You have to appreciate the fight that the Saints have put up the last few weeks to hold onto their playoff hopes. They have battled through a tough stretch of schedule and get a lower classed team here on Thursday night football. Yes, lower classed. The NFC North has 2 good teams, Minnesota and Chicago. The NFC South has 4 good to great teams including the Panthers, Bucs, Hawks, and the Saints. Anyone looking up and down the schedule can see the toughness of the NFC South division and the weakness of the NFC North.
Chicago is not your brawny defense of the past as they are getting sliced up by good QB's this season. Drew Brees will be able to move the ball at will tonight against a defense that is ranked 28th against the pass giving up 234 yards per game. The Bears are also allowing 21.4 PPG this season and this does not bode well for the best offense in the NFL looming at their doorstep.
I also like the resurgence of the Saints running game recently. It matters how you are playing now, not the first part of the season. "With Reggie Bush back to full strength and Pierre Thomas taking over for Deuce McAllister, New Orleans looked solid in topping Atlanta just last week. The Saints rushed for 184 yards, their best performance on the ground in nearly two years. Thomas has come out of nowhere to rush for 311 yards and four touchdowns in his last four games, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. When the Saints run the ball 30 or more times during Payton's tenure, they are 14-0."
With the Saints suddenly surging ground game opening up the pass, it's tough to bet against the way this team is playing right now. Momentum is everything in the NFL and it just so happens the Saints are surging at the right time. They are also getting healthy at just the right time. Simply put, this game is NOT going to be about defense, it's going to be about which team can convert in the red zone and put points on the board. The Bears offense is no juggernaut with Orton behind the drivers seat. Yes, they have scored against average teams, however going toe to toe with the best offense in the NFL will be a different story tonight. The Bears will be playing catchup from the start and will not be able to keep up tonight with the high flying Saints. Once Drew Brees connects on a deep ball with one of the many talented wide receivers that he has, the spirit of the Bears will be crushed and the floodgates open.
Back the Saints +3 to win outright or stay within the impost. If the Bears win, it will not be by more than a nose-hair. The 3 points will be plenty here to grab the cash.
Good stuff Samson Prime 😉
I am with you on this one PRIME. I also like the over, its climing and stands at 46.
I'm with you Prime! Nice write up too! How bout Sunday night? I'm thinking Cowboys, what do you think?

Guitar, let's take it one game at a time. Right now Dallas looks mighty good, however that all could change by Sunday if 90% of the public bets Dallas and the line doesn't budge. Let's get this win tonight and then we will talk about the weekend 😉
Good stuff Samson Prime 😉
NOOOOOOOO! The Cooler has touched this post! That could only mean death to the Saints 😉
Actually Blade, your Cooling tendencies didn't work last night for the Zags and I think you may have a lucky lady for this one tonight!

I actually get to watch tonight's game since I am pulling some OT at work and we have the NFL channel here.
;D
Sorry about the bad call here tonight guys. I should have known from the start that Orton would outplay Brees :'(
We will get em next time!
You still have lots of time to get back in this boss.
PUSH :-
Saints had it, but couldn't play defense last 2 minutes of regulation. Oh well, I guess a push is better than a loss.
Peace....
whoever got the hook = winner
like ME!~
An exciting game. Depending on your spread and the O/U thier were many ways to win, regardless who you had. I won two bets by taking NO +3 and a parlay NO +3 and the overwhich went to a straight win of over, in other words my parlay was a push on the side and because I had the over I won it as a straight bet. A good night for me. Hope you all had some luck.
Had to be a ugly game for the books tonight. 😮
one word. tease. ;D
