2-Unit Play. Take #736 South Florida (-5.5) over DePaul (9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)
This play fits in the same mold as my move against Cincinnati last night, and that is that South Florida just beat DePaul by 22 about 10 days ago. People now want to jump on the points with the Blue Demons because of the "revenge" factor. But if a team beats you by 22 on your home court they are just a lot better than you are. South Florida is coming off two impressive performances against Pitt and West Virginia. Their two backcourt scorers are head and shoulders above anything that DePaul brings to the table here and USF is a tricky foe at home.

2-Unit Play. Take #740 Colorado State (-5.5) over Air Force (10 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)
Colorado State has been one of my 'play on' teams this season and I backed off of them after a December swoon. Well, they are playing better basketball at the moment and this is a game that I think they should be able to handle. Air Force simply doesn't have it this year and they may be headed for the basement of the Mountain West. Both teams have played the top teams in this conference recently and Colorado State has been slightly more impressive during that stretch. Air Force has won eight straight in this series, but this is probably the first time in five years that the Rams bring more talent and the better team to this matchup. If the Rams can overcome their terrible coach they will win this one by double digits. Since I don't think they will do that, CSU wins by 8.

1.5-Unit Play. Take #732 Northern Illinois (-4) over Eastern Michigan (8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20
Eastern Michigan is a train wreck. Their guards are young and awful and this team has clearly adopted the Loser's Mentality in the MAC. They have simply not been competitve in many of their games and they have beaten just one D-I team since Thanksgiving weekend: an OT win against equally terrible Central Michigan. NIU has a decent little inside-out combo with Darion Anderson and Sean Kowal, and ample third scorers. They were swept by EMU last year but should have the upper hand this time around. Further, MAC favorites are 10-6 ATS to this point in the season, with three of the underdog wins involving Miami, OH. Kick them out and favorites and home teams have dominated the MAC, just like they have dominated most conferences here in January.

1.5-Unit Play. Take #719 Western Michigan (-2.5) over Ball State (7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)
Ball State just lost it's top all-around player and senior leader, forward Anthony Newell, and this is only their second game playing without him. Their leading scorer is done for the year with a leg injury and that leaves just one double-digit scorer remaining on the roster. Newell led the team in all important statistical categories and having that happen to a young team in the middle of conference play can be devastating. Western Michigan has been a disappiontment to this point, but they should be able to pounce tonight. This is now a matchup of two perimeter teams and WMU's guards are just a bit better.

1-Unit Play. Take #734 Penn State (-2) over Michigan (9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)
Ugh. I was the guy touting Penn State early in the season, but then as conference play got kicking I have not gone to this team nearly as much as I obviously should have. They are on a 4-1-1 ATS run and they really have been playing well at home. They beat Purdue and then made a furious comeback against Michigan State to almost steal that game as well. Michigan might be a little wobbly after an odd home loss to Ohio State over the weekend. They have not played well in true road games, and this is only their fourth true road game all season and they are 0-3 ATS in the previous three. Penn State gets the check tonight because they have Jamelle Cornley, the best interior player on either side, and because they are at home.

1-Unit Play. Take #724 Toledo (-4) over Central Michigan (7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)
If Toledo is favored, there is a problem. And there is definitely a problem with Central Michigan. This is one team that can't shoot and can't defend playing against another that can't shoot and can't defend. So why isn't this game a 'pick' or a -2? Mainly because Toledo is still a little undervalued due to their A) ridiculous schedule up to this point, and B) their terrible ATS start to the season. However, the Rockets are coming off a win over the weekend and they have covered their last two home games. Toledo has dominated common opponents and I think they put together a rare winning streak with another W tonight.

1-Unit Play. TEASER; Take #710 Illinois (-2.5) over Ohio State (7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20) AND Take #737 Tennessee (+5) over Vanderbilt (9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20)

I also have leans on N.C. State, Virginia and Ohio tonight.
